annoyed with other posts

No pregnant mom on here should be saying that we other mothers need to calm down. Its our own damn decision on why we want to be induced or speed up labor. Not every ones pregnancy is glorious and perfect. Some of us actually puke all the time or gain excessive amounts of weight and so on and so fourth..... Sorry but your post just gets to me!

Its crazy cuz I went thru some of your post Alicia and u were definitely complaining about how u wished it was over a few weeks ago...u were eating pineapple u were walking more and trying other things that werent working. You had ur moment to complain and now that others are to their breaking points its an issue. We are all pretty much at the same point ready for our lil ones to be here...as long as the babies are safe and healthy when they arrive thats really all that matters. Have your opinion but we also see u are done too!

Geez, that went sour overnight. Let's just please remember what you read on here is only a fraction of the truth. Don't assume that just because a mother is over being pregnant that conception must have been a breeze for her. And please don't get on a post using words like "stupid" to describe someone's desires to induce labor and then get in your feelings when ppl take offense to it.

Alicia, people have the right to express themselves without being judged. Ur opinion is just that, an OPINION, so dnt criticize others. Besides, every mother loves their child and wud never want to do anything that can cause harm 2 their babies after carrying them for so long...

Aren't proven to work*

Actually the other reason castor oil is dangerous is because it can cause the baby to take a bowel movement, which can cause distress to the baby. No natural ways (Even very safe ones like sex or spicy food) are proven to work anyway, you can try as much as you like but if baby isn't ready to come it won't.

Also the drugs in the hospital is 10x more dangerous to you and your baby than epo, sex, birthing balls, yoga, acupressure, spicy foods, dates, and just about every other "natural" induction. The only reason castor oil can be dangerous is because if you take to much and start puking and pooping alot you lose the water and can dehydrate yourself.

I havent took anything but i have talked to my midwife about naturally inducing labor. Im 38 weeks but due to the fact if i dont kick start my labor soon my doctor will try to force me to be induced in a hospital with drugs rather than something more natural. So what some people wanted to drink tea or have alot of sex to kick start labor. Ive been eating spicy foods and bouncing on a birth ball for a week. Im probably the biggest hippy and natural birth advocate there is but my doctor believes the due date is an expiration date. To keep from being put in the hospital and being drugged up ill do what i have to. Especially important when im trying to have a home birth but he wont let me do that if im not showing signs of progression. Everyones birth story is different, baby wont come until they are ready regaurdless of what we do to try and get them here. Id understand if someone was 35 weeks and chose to be induce with drugs in the hospital for no reason but as long as its natural kick starts i dont see what its going to hurt.

If u read my reply u would realise my pregnancy has been far from perfect! I'm just sick of reading all these stupid post like "oh I took castor oil, waiting for it to work"....."I have a pain I think it's working".... "Oh pain is gone it's not working".... Just let nature take its course, I just don't understand how u can be pregnant for so long and then all of a sudden want it to be over with in a day, generally it doesn't work like that! Yeh I'm tired, have reflux, insomnia and can't eat what I want due to my blood sugars being high but I don't feel the need for it to all be over in an instant and rave on when these silly wives tales don't work!

Natural induction us way safer than the medical inductions they do to people.  Epo is actually a natural substance that some people use to help with immunity like a souped up version of vitamin C. Tell me how that is not healthy for you.

Preggers I completely agree with you. Its easier said to 'calm down' when you're not the one dealing with an extremely hard pregnancy from day one. We all want to deliver healthy babies of course. Wonder if the moms who are having the 'prefect' pregnancy would feel the same if they were dealing with as much as we are for more than 36 weeks.

I think y'all take this app way to personal & serious. If you have a problem with what people post. Don't click on it. Simple as that. It gives you a preview of what the post is about before reading. So if it's bothering you that much why even read it. Get out your feelings. Enjoy YOUR pregnancy

My pregnancy was IVF so it's not like I don't know what it's like to struggle to conceive! And maybe that's why I can't stand ppl whinging about being pregnant for another second when u have no idea what some ppl would do to be in your shoes! Waiting until the time is right rather then everyone posting the same questions about castor oil or EPO etc I'm not criticising anyone that needs a medical induction or intervention, that's different then taking it into your own hands and risking the life of your baby to meet them earlier because your impatientl!

Although I agree with Alicia1986 I wouldn't go out of my way to criticize someone. Or whine about someone else's whining.. seems absurd. It's like my whining is ok but not yours lol!!
I guess at the end of the day if the benefits outweigh the risks then you ladies should go for what you want.
I struggled so much to conceive emotionally and financially that I would take it all over again. P.s. I'm delivering via c section on Saturday woohoo!!!!! Some of us aren't blessed to just get pregnant that easily so maybe that's a point to consider.. but to each her own!! God bless you ladies!

Those reasons for wanting your baby out are just selfish, perhaps I'm sick of posts from whinging mothers to be that aren't thinking of the consequences of their actions, bringing on labour when your baby isn't ready just makes them stressed and u could end up with an unnecessary complication... Just saying think of the big picture! Be grateful u made it to 40 wks!
