Some tests will be positive before your missed period. Do another home test and have your doc do a blood test. Baby is usually to small to see on an ultrasound.  I know the first ultrasound they do on you when you are expecting is a vaginal ultrasound cause that baby is so small

It could just be too small to pick up on ultrasound.  Did they do a blood draw?  I  had a positive test 1-2 days before I was expecting AF.  I always spot 1-2 days before and never had any.  I am also having identical symptoms I had with my son.  I also took another test the day after the first positive and the line was even darker.  I am certain I am pregnant.  I would not rule it out yet.  Just take another test and compare it to the one you took 4 days ago.
