its where they test you for your sugar levels. you drink a sugary drink wait an hour and they draw blood after that to see if you have gestational diabetes. if you are borderline or it shows high they will order another one but its a.3 hour test drink a sugar drink and evry hr after that up to 3 hrs they draw blood. if positive dr will.discuss if you can maintain your sugars with diet and exercise than you dnt need meds if not able to they will oder meds like pill for you to see if you maintain if not dr will tjen prescribe insulin which is no fun to maintain your sugars. i was on insulin and i hate it. i had to checks my sugars every 3 hours an  2 hours.after.I've eaten a meal amd give myself insulin 2 a day. no fun. but its all worth it at the end
hope evrything is ok

Usually if you've had it with a previous pregnancy, more than likely you'll get it again with subsequent pregnancies.

I have it currently. Was tested at 12 weeks. Right now it is controlled with blood sugars checks 4x a day and a new diet plan. My heart also feels like it is racing. Just ask the doctor.

I have not had it but surprised they haven't tested you for it yet. My first was 9 lbs so they automatically tested me about 12 weeks to be sure I didn't have it this time around. I feel like they should have tested ya! Hope ya get some answers!
