My mil was amazing until we started planning our wedding. She destroyed our relationship in that process. Now she is seems to be trying to rebuild it. Unfortunately I can't forget what she did in the past and I will not be able to just go back to the way things were. I will move forward with caution.. Its the best thing for me and my family.

My MIL hasn't been too terrible, she didn't get us a wedding gift when we got married, and she didn't hesitate to let us know how much she didn't like the fact that we decided not to.find out the gender of our little June bug. My STEP-MIL on the other hand is amazing!!! Just wish she loved closer, CA and MN are way to far apart!!

My boyfriend and I are living with his mother right now. She is a total control freak. All she does is complain and nothing we do is right (she knows everything). He already has a son from previous relationship and MIL has completely taken over his son. She does not let him have much of a say in what his son does. I cannot wait to move out of here and into our own place. I won't have her taking over my son or telling me how to raise him!! She also is trying to tell me what I can and can't eat when my doctor as well as my nutritionist have both told me these things were fine to eat!

One is a cradle robber bc she's older than her son.. the other is an alcoholic bc she likes to have a drink and then I'm the golddigger bc I'm apparently all about his $$ AKUNAMATATA. P.s. I like to pretend I'm always shopping online when she comes over.. = P

My MIL is a nut job too. She has 4 other grandkids that my husbands siblings have pretty much let her do whatever with....well im not like that. Im a big believer in the word "no" and I want my kids to go to daycare. She thinks im the worst person in the world for sending them there.  But all the nieces and nephews are total terrors and brats because she has them 90% of the time and never ever ever says no so I get how you feel

My mother in law has been amazing! My husband isn't really into the hearing about the baby every week thing, but I'm constantly looking at my app and learning all about our baby.. My mother in law downloaded the app and tracks my progress with me. She's been super supportive but not clingy or intrusive. Its been nice having her to talk to!

Me me me
She is treating my husband really bad
Telling him to shut up,calling him names and stuff
And today i told her to stop it and to calm down and she left the house
I dont like the way she is with my husband but she will call him first if she needed something

Thankfully i do not have this problem!  I love my mil. She is like a second mom to me! She watches our daughter at least one afternoon a week while i work and hubby sleeps as he works midnights. I am pretty lucky i guess from reading these!

I have the opposite problem... My MIL has issues, like doesn't leave the house. She sends weird texts and puts weird comments on Facebook about how the sonogram of our son to be son looks just like my husband. She missed thanksgiving and Christmas because she was "sick" (she's a hypochondriac), and texted today to ask if we were mad at her... I ignored it but honestly she hasn't seen me since I got pregnant. She will never be left alone with our child.

Oh wow!  Mine she tells me not to yell ant the dog sometimes or call there name loud cause that's not good for the baby or don't drink coffee like shutup my doctor said it's OK to drink 1 or 2 cups a day she swear she's the one carrying the baby inside.  And my mother-in-law is creepy too

My MIL is annoying and obsessive. She is creepy excited about the baby, like I'm worried she will not give her back if I let her babysit my daughter.  And she calls me every time her son (my husband) doesn't respond to one of her texts or misses one of her calls. It gets really annoying, really fast.
