how many of you are working full time?

It seems like many are saying they have the opportunity to just lay down if a headache arises or are at home during the day.

Obviously I'm a little jealous... I teach second grade and being on my feet all day is sucking more and more. Not too mention the twenty, very needy, 7 year olds constantly in my face. I love each of them but when 4 o clock comes around, I have to lay on the couch in silence for about an hour.

Stress relieving ideas for this exhausted teacher?

I work in a screen printing company and its super loud there and I work 8+ hours a day mon-fri and I get super bad headaches everyday. I have tried Tylenol in the morning but it usually doesnt help but if I drink a little bit of caffeine It usually helps til I get home then I put a cold wash cloth on my head.

I work for Bank of America in an office and yes its corporate and im in a cubicle at a desk all day but you would be surprised at how mentally stressful and draining looking a computer screen is all day. Then coming home to an 8 and 7 year old after that. Candles are so darn soothing after the kiddos bedtime! The aroma in a nice dark room really helps me calm my nerves and start all over again the next day!

Aww thanks for the props... It is hard, mostly due to the constant calling of my name. I feel like I've really lost the huge amount of patience I used to have with them. I feel like we all need a huge pat on the back! Thanks for the advice... A bath it is!

I have a desk job as an office manager at a dental office. Once in a while I assist. I started off as a back office dental assistant so sometimes I jump in the back to help out. The smells gross me out now that I'm preggers tho, when before it never bothered me. I have cake hours, Tuesday thru Thursday 8-5 and Fridays half day. I'm not considered full time since I only work about 30-33 hours a week. I love my job. Hopefully I will feel the same about my job when I'm 8 months pregnant.

I too work full time and get jealous! I have a desk job which is more stressful on my brain than my body but I take a bath every night instead of showers in the morning.  Helps me relax. Mind you my toddler is usually in with me most nights but at least i can sit still for 20 minutes even if i am listening to "mommy watch me/look at this etc"!  Maybe a bath and light a candle. I would love to find time to read a good book! Praise to you for teaching! I think that has to be one of the hardest jobs ever.

I work in a apple packing place and on my feet standing for 9 1/2 hours everyday. Its been very hard and draining on me. But what I do is take a hot shower and let the water run down my back (that's where I'm mostly sore from) then by the time I get out I'm ready for bed and I've been watching funny movies and laying on my heating blanket...I'm able to go to bed no later than 830 which is really helpful and nice going to sleep that early..

I am a dental assistant so I feel your pain! Constantly on my feet running around dealing with difficult people and of course all the disgusting perks and smells of my job! It has definitely been a challenge to say the least I am like you, so jealous of all these woman who can rest! I'm 8 to 5 drive an hour home to cook dinner and then school work!

I usually try to take a 15 min nap in my car on lunch and on my drive home the radio off is truly a blessing. An hour of silence definitely helps relax after a long day of work! Best of wishes for you!

I'm a stay at home mom but once bed time hits and if it's been a long stressful day I light a couple candles turn the lights off and sit in a nice warm but not too hot bath! Soo relaxing :)
