Ultrasounds

I'm 30 weeks pregnant and haven't had an ultrasound since the anatomy scan at 20 weeks. I'd like to make sure she's growing properly and everything is okay but my doctor says I probably won't have another unless she feels like it's necessary! Aren't they supposed to check her weight and what not? How can she not give me any more ultrasounds for the remainder of the pregnancy?

Normally it is two. One around 8-12 and one around 20weeks. If something is not quite right doctor will order more. So far i have had four. But baby was measuring really small and breech.

Sounds normal. I have only recieved 2 so far my next scan will be at 37 weeks to see if baby is head down. The last one i had at my dr was at 21 weeks for gender reveal.

I had one at like 7 weeks and one at 20... My midwife said I'll have one more but it will be a little farther out. I can't remember why but I believe something was missed in the 20 week ultrasound like baby wouldn't position right for a picture.

I want one too but I don't think I will be getting one because like the ladies said above unless there is a medical reason you will only have the two

Nope after the 20 week scan thats usually it unless they have concerns about fundal measurements, low/high fluid, breech position etc. It's not necessary to know their weight :)

As long as fundal height measurements are on track there is no reason for additional ultrasounds. If you are measuring significantly ahead or behind at any point then a scan may be suggested but otherwise there's no reason to worry.
Weight estimates from ultrasound are incredibly inaccurate, too. No point in getting a scan to get a number that could easily be off by two pounds or even more.

You can get a 4d ultra sound down if you really want to know if she is growing right that's what I did at 28 weeks because I felt the same way
