moms that have delivered using castor oil?

Has anyone already delivered their babies and used castor oil to jump start the labor? Im 39 weeks and my doctor is already trying to induce me medically before my due date. I feel like baby boy is ready to come its like hes waiting on a jump start. I dont want to be medically induced but i dont want to take the castor oil unless it works...has anyone had it work?

I had tried it twice this pregnancy over the last few weeks but it didnt work it didnt give me the poops either just some contractions.
But I did read more into it and it will only really work if your body is ready as in some dilation and thinning out. As of thursday I was 4 cm 90 percent.  I havent tried it since finding out I was that much. I did have a sweep on Thursday and friday. Saturday I lost the rest of my mucous plug and was very crampy all day and early this morning I had some contractions.  I am debating on doing epo and castor oil. But not sure what else to do.
but ya if you think your body is ready go for it! I hope it works for you

Going to buy castor oil today. Had a sweep Thursday, I was 2 cm at 38 weeks. Lost my mucous plug yesterday morning. Cramping at night but no real contractions. I have 7 days to go but I really don't want to go another week or more... Feels like I could go more. Hoping to go into labor tonight! I successfully used castor oil with my first pregnancy at 37 weeks.

Whats wrong with she wanting to try castor oil? Oh lord when will u GODS stop...its her decision. Nt everyone is thinkin the same as u nd def had the same pregnancy as u...n likeshe said she doesnt want to b medically induced!! Anyways good luck if u decide to try it. Ive read a good bit of success stories about the CO for june babies on babycenter though

I have no idea if im dilated my doctor hasnt checked but ive been having pains in my stomach for a few days now. Mostly in the early mornings around 3am and sharp pains in my vag. I can tell hes low and really heavy because it feels like something pressing down. Im hoping the pains ive been having arensome type of contraction amd maybe the castor oil will kick start labor.

I did!and it worked! Baby born June 8th!healthy ! You have to be dilated though
