I had the opposite experience. I weighed 213 when I got pregnant.. but dropped down about 5 pounds from all the nausea and they freaked out pushing me to gain quickly! My doc encourages me to not listen to WIC about my weight and that she will monitor it for me. Week 38 here, gained 25 lbs now :)
I started my pregnancy at 220 i wieght 232 now they said my wieght gain is normal so they are tripping
I would tell them well wat u expect for me to go on a diet while I'm pregnant , like hello smh so rude of them
Yall are lucky. I have rude wic people.
The first lady I talked to was like 300lbs , the 2nd lady looked almost 400lbs and the one today was maybe 230lbs.....So they had no room to talk...
Dats weird dey never spoke badly about my weight n I'm 222 now 35weeks , I started at 200. Dey actually just said wow u don't even look it
I've never had someone from wic talk about my weight to me and I'm over 250.
They usually just ask what was starting weight and weigh me. That's it. I'm sorry you had a goof to sign u up
Some people don't get weighed at all
I think it's because WIC is for mothers and babies who would essentially starve to death without their free handouts. They probably have to be very strict about keeping track of mothers and babies weights in their allotment of resources.
They acted like I'm not carrying a baby, I have NEVER hit 200lbs in my life till pregnancy but they gotta ***** about it
Ooh yay, i get to go sign up for wic today, guess I'll know what to be expecting, I'm at 234 and started at 203. I don't think they really care about you as a person, everyone is just supposed to fit into a perfect mold, but whatever!! Lol forget them
