wanting a new OB

My ob lady is nice but she never explains thinga to me. The first time that she took the babys heart beat ahe didn't tell me what it was. Then another time she said I was going to get blood drawn and never came back into the room nor did the nurse. She always does every thing late with me. Most you ladys already have your glucose test done. Mine won't do it till 28 weeks ansd I'm 25 now. So many of you ladys new the gender 3 weeks before I did and we were the same weeks along. It ***** waiting so long.

My glucose rest is at 27 weeks and my gender was done way to early and they had to do a repeat one at 20 weeks cause they couldn't find everything . So as frustrating as it is sometimes waiting isn't a bad thing. As far as her explain things she needs to tell you, my docs are kind of the same way unless I ask sometimes you just need to be forceful :)

Glucose screening is usually done between 24 and 28 weeks of pregnancy. If the test, which screens for gestational diabetes, reveals elevated levels of blood glucose (sugar), a glucose tolerance test is then given to confirm the gestational diabetes diagnosis

Glucose tests vary by doctor but they are typically done 26-28 weeks. Mine isn't being done until 28 weeks.

Express your feelings to her. Sometimes they need a reminder  that patients don't read minds and that some of us is new to this and don't know the process
