weight gain...help to much!!

I'm starting to freak out about my weight gain and I need tips and help to maybe try to slow down the weight gain. I have truly gained excessively primarily because I didn't get morning sickness and I was just hungry my first trimester. I'm up 25! That's what I should have gained the whole pregnancy!!I have 16 more weeks to go!!
I'm trying to work out but have only managed once a week, but truly my main issue is the sugar cravings I get in the afternoon. I need to control those! Any advice is welcome!

I feel your pain. I eat healthy and work full time. I'm 23 weeks and I've gained 17 pounds. By the time I get home from work I'm seriously exhausted and don't have energy to work out. I started at 175 pounds. Blah

I'm 25 weeks today and have gained exactly 20 pounds. While it's a shock to my system because I have always been fairly small- I just assume pregnancy weight gain will be around 30 pounds anyways. And I don't feel like I've gained 20 pounds - I'm pretty much all belly and boobs. Lol. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Im on the same boat as you.  I didnt have morning sickness at all so from the very beginning all ive been doinv is gaining.  Im 24 weeks and gained 25 lbs already but i saw that for an average person should be gaining betweem 25-35 lbs. 16 weeks to go with only 10 lbs to spare.

You will not likely be gaining much weight in the last few weeks. 25lbs sounds right on track. Not sure why you think it's excessive. Did your OB say that to you?

I am also having those crazy sugar cravings after like 5 p.m. .I like to keep healthy snacks in the house like maybe granola bars that has raisins or things like thSt.. maybe if you have to have sugar like me if you can prepare before time small portions of diced fruit instead of grabbing something like a cupcake.. I have actually been negative on the weight gain my whole pregnancy and I've never really been sick but We're all different.

We're rockin' in the same boat, my Dr told me today I'm starting to gain too much weight but I don't feel like I've gained a whole lot, some days I hardly feel like eating and others I just want to stuff my face with everything! She advised me to cut out all fast food, and keep carbs to a minimum (that's going to be the hardest one for me personally - I love pasta and breads) and increase veggies and fruits, also to walk for 30 minutes everyday. Good luck!

Every time you crave sugar, drink some water or maybe even try sugar free sweets? I'm on a strict low carb diet due to excess amniotic fluid so I've mastered every trick in the book to cure sugar cravings! I feel guilty if I eat sugar/carbs, I don't want to hurt my little man :-(

I have the same issue. I'm 23+5 wks and went today for my check up and gained 20 lbs so far. in 2 months I gained 15lbs :( I've been trying to get to the gym as much as I can but only been managing 2/3x a wk. I try to eat as healthy as I can but give in on some sweets too and my water intake is not that great. I'm freaking out today. it's to much to quick. you're not alone. good luck

Thanks! yeah sugar is my biggest problem =( I'll try the walking, maybe that will help me burn some more calories...I used to eat generally healthy but ever since getting pregnant all I want is carbs and sugar, the worst offenders! My fitness pal is a great idea! I have used it in the past (long time ago) I'll give it a try again. Basically I need more self control! Sigh...

Just so you know you are not alone! I've worked out and have eaten very healthy and still have gained 20 lbs. That was at my last appointment.. after I saw that I said screw it I'm eating chocolate!  Lol. If you really wanna try to control it ask your doc what is a good calorie amount you should be taking in and use my fitness pal (it's an app) and track everything you eat. Don't even bring sweets in the house! And water will fill you up so always stay on top of drinking it.

Walking. Do lots of walking. Stay hydrated. Stay away from sweets and junk food. Just eat healthy with some salads and stuff. Fruits, vegetables, and some rice/ wheat bread. Eat spicy food. They help with losing weight
