Norco is acetaminophen and hydrocodone which is safe if Ur nursing. Just pay attention to doses. I take 1pill twice a day..
And Ur last comment about it being easier after birth.. It's just a different set of challenges. But it's not easier.
Ur body changes a lot w pregnancy. After my 1st baby I developed a herniated belly button-it wasn't bad & didn't hurt. After my 2nd baby my hernia was MUCH worse. Very painful!! Plus I developed diastisis recti (separation of stomach muscles)-I got that back by doing special excersises. When I got prego w baby 3 when my 2nd one was only 13 months... Having a hernia while prego is even more painful. I had a csection again w baby 3 & my dr was able to fix it :-) hernia surgery repair is actually really quick & easy. My nephew (3yo) has to have a belly button hernia repair done here in a month, it's just an outpatient surgery.
Norco is safe to take while pregnant so wouldn't it be safe to take while breast feeding? As for the staple..where are you from? I was surprised with my recent c section they didnt use any staples or stitching on the outside. I thought maybe they just didnt use staples anymore. Lol
Now i have a hernia. I thought everything was suppose to be easier after pregnancy! That and they left 1 staple in so my husband removed it himself
Depends on what pain meds they gave you my doctor told me only tynenol and motrin for pain while breastfeeding
Ur welcome. I know it's overwhelming. But really a good pediatrician is the best thing you can do. The hospital is really just trying to do a quick fix, instead of taking the time for what's best for U & baby. I got into it w my nurse this time at the hospital she just didn't know anything. My pediatrician came to the hospital & confirmed baby was fine & the nurse was way off. The nurse wanted to rush my baby into the NICU-my ped said don't do anything until she got to the hospital. Baby was fine!!! (Really he was breathing funny bcuz he was pooping) after my dr left The nurse was still telling me things trying to worry me... I told her in listening to my ped dr & her assumptions were just that... & I was going to listen to some1 who has yrs of experience vs a newbee nurse out of school. But it's also my 3rd baby... W my 1st everything the hospital told me I thought they knew it all.. Sometimes they do.. But not always. So get a good pediatrician for baby. Take a deep breath. You'll be fine & so will baby
The best advice I can tell you is get a good pediatrician. Do U have one yet?? A pediatrician will give U better advice & they have better knowledge of newborns/babies in general. I have 3 babies & I trust my pediatrician far more than the hospital. & au want Ur ped to get to know Ur baby. In fact my pediatrician likes to get us in whenever the kids are sick she hates sending people to the hospital. She said she always has to undo what the hospital does.
I've had 3 csections & of course have to be on pain meds.. I've never had any issues w my babies nursing. As long as Ur following the doses correctly. I know it's hard, I write down the time I take all my pills. Also w Ur baby being lactose intolerant-that doesn't matter if Ur nursing but does if U are formula feeding. Sometimes it's easier to start them on a soy based formula at 1st instead of a milk based. My nephew was lac intol it was horrible.
Wow. That is scary. I would be pretty mad to. I hope he is doing well now.
First_ they told me ttaking my pain meds while breast feeding was ok..yea ******* rite. Baby was unresponsive for 5 hours.
Second_ they said he was lact tose n tolerant..well they were wrong.
They said that baby not pooping for 3 days is notmal. No its not!!!
