You only need a Rhogam shot if your negative blood type and your partner is a positive blood type. You do not need to get the shot while ur pregnant if it's your very first pregnancy or unless you endure serious trauma, such as a bad car accident that would  potential damage to your fetus.you can wait until you're baby is born and get the blood tested. If the baby is negative  blood type you will not need the shot. The shot itself creates a desensitization of your blood for the positive blood type so your negative blood will not attack and eliminate the Positive blood. Clearly this is detrimental  to all future babies of positive blood type cannot survive the hostile negative blood... it's actually quite remarkable we have the option of Rhogam. Regardless of the risks the benefits are great if you want to have future pregnacies.

If your negative at all and your husband is positive you get the shot. Doesn't matter if it's ab o a or b if it's followed by a negative you get the shot :) nothing to fear its to help not hurt.

I have The same blood type, they will give u a shot if u start bleeding or spotting this means that the baby has had contact with your blood, but if u don't bleed during your pregnancy they'll give it to you at 28 weeks and then another one after you give birth to prevent antibodies to grow  and afect future pregnancies.
