wtf? 8 pounds in two weeks?!?

I don't understand. I have not been having feasts of food every day, I don't get how I gain weight this fast, this is not normal. I don't have gestational diabetes, and this is not the first time there's a jump in my weight like that. I been having trouble all pregnancy keeping control of my weight but this is insane! I think I need to go on a diet right away....I'm 36 weeks I just feel like crying. I'm already over 50lbs....I'm so depressed

Im 34 weeks and I gained 34 pounds in total. I know exactly how u feel as im outside the range of normal. The only reason the doctor says she's not concerned is because I was pretty small b4 pregnancy (135 lbs but looked 125lbs). This weight gain is terrifying, I just pray it's all baby. Good luck with weight loss after the baby. I plan to go hard at the gym lol.

Almost all my friends gained 60 plus ... I did as well. I eat healthy and exercise and they all went back to normal size just as I know I will. It's hard to think I will when I don't recognize the person in the mirror but it's all for baby! :) and not all women gain 30 lbs actually most women gain 45-60 these as just make u feel super guilty. More power to those who stayed under 30 lbs but not all of us r so blessed

The EXACT same thing happened to me at my appointment yesterday! I'm 35 weeks today and I gained 8 pounds in 2 weeks! I didn't really eat horrible and I've been walking. I'm sure it's all baby so show off the bump and be a proud momma (:

I had the exact same thing happen to me. I went for my 28 week checkup and I had gained a total of 23 pounds, went back at 30 weeks and was at 31 total gained. I balled!!! I still have 10 weeks left to go, and if I keep gaining weight like that I will be huge! The weight gain has already been really hard for me.

Thanks for the encouragement, I really need it!!  I don't want to get to the point of trying to starve myself to hold of the weight gain. I have been tempted but if I don't eat or eat very little I start feeling lightheaded and nauseous so I have to eat more....I'm jealous of all the women who have only gained 25-30 pounds, sigh

At 36 weeks I wouldn't even worry about the  weight. Besides a lot of it is probably just water weight. You will lose it after the baby anyways. Just remember it's just temporary.  ;-)
