Acupuncture

Ok...so today I went to an acupuncturist! It was quite interesting. Has anyone else ever done this?? I am going for nausea relief. Sometimes my Zofran works just fine but then I am nauseated other times so I figured I would give this a try.

I had my first appointment today and I will have 2 more sessions with him and see how everything is! He tapped 4 needles into my belly and one into my hand (between the forefinger and thumb) and I stayed there for 20 minutes. Then he did reflexology on my feet, which basically means he rubbed my feet, for  a few minutes.

Anyways, I haven't really had much time to figure out if it helped or not...but hopefully after the final 3rd session I will know either way and I can fill you in. It was very interesting that is for sure!

Try looking for a chiropractor that is licensed in acupuncture. That is the easiest way to find someone I think. The guy I go to is a chiropractor and he went to an extra two years of school after the 4 years of chiropractor school (after the 4 years of undergraduate) for acupuncture. It personally made me feel safer knowing that the guy wasn't just an acupuncturist. Also make sure the person you get is familiar with treating pregnant women...that seems like a no brainer but it never hurts to be overly careful.

Good luck! I am optimistic that he is going to help me. :)

It should help!  I personally have never gone (and fully intend to... I have lower back issues) but need to research and find a reputable acupuncturist in town.  Any way, I believe in acupuncture... I read "The Tau of Fertility" prior to conceiving this time around and the doctor who wrote that book is a Chinese medicinist who is a proponent of acupunture before, during, and after pregnancy.  Gosh... you think I would have tried it by now!!!  Let us know if it helps... I am interested in knowing :)
