I think I am going to go back to adding in a tblspn of rice cereal back into a few of his bottles. He is still spitting up regularly. I took it out to see if anything had changed in a few weeks and nothing yet. I think once I can get Jack up to 2 tablespoons of cereal (1 tablespoon per feeding) a day I will make the move to veggies. Just this week he actually started opening his mouth and closing down on the spoon. So that part is getting better. Now he needs to work on the swallowing part. Right now he swallows some and bubbles the rest of it out at me. I think he thinks it is funny. Crazy kid. :)
Noah will normally have about 2-3 tsp of Rice or Oatmeal Cereal in the morning after he gets up and that is around 7:30 or 8am
My sister watches him during the day for me so I am aware of his schedule but not to sure how solid it is lol - When i get him there about 8:30 he will have a 6 0z bottle an another bottle here and there until about 2
around 1-2 my sister will feed him either cereal or Green Beans, Sweet Potatoes or Bananas about 1-2 tsps
Then he will have a couple bottles until about 6 pm

We're still all cereal (oatmeal), because Brock isn't quite understanding the opening mouth concept!!! It's more making him smile and getting it in there, which I'm sure isn't the right thing! He only gets 1 tsp. once a day cuz we have to practice! He doesn't even eat all that! He doesn't have any cereal in his bottles anymore and no more Zantac, so I think the reflux has gotten better cuz he hasn't gotten crabby!! Yeah! He still only drinks 4 oz bottles...I can't get anymore in him! I make more but no way! He was up at 2:20 this morning and my husband asked if I wanted a bottle made and I said no way! We are not starting that routine again! Then he slept till 7:30!
Morning:Nurse and then about 2 inches of banana mashed up, or half a small avocado mashed up.
Until 7 pm: Nurse
7pm: 8 ounce bottle of expressed milk (daddy loves to feed him) and 2 ounces of sweet potato or some other veggie.
Here is Marks:
Morning: 1/4 cup pureed fruit (this morning it was plums, but he likes papaya, banana, avacado, peach, blueberries and pears) with enough Gerber DHA enriched oatmeal to make it thick like he likes it. I usually take one day a week to puree all the fresh fruit or veggies I need then freeze them.
All afternoon until 5 pm- breastmilk
At 5: 1/4 cup pureed veggies with oatmeal added for thickness (He likes sweet potatoes, zucchini, butternut squash, rutabaga and peas)
The rest of the night is breastmilk
I know you ordered that great baby food processor from William Sonoma. When I bought mine I also got a WONDERFUL baby recipe book titled, "Top 100 Baby Purees" by Annabel Karmel. It is full of interesting facts and great and unique puree ideas!
we're still 100% on formula, and now formula and pedialyte, which I will post about in a min.
