Major Scare Last Night

So about 10 mins after i posted my update to this group last week, I went in the bathroom to put my progesterone supp. in and out came blood -- and not just a little. I had just flown into Boston early for a work trip and was totally alone and nervous that this was NOT GOOD. I got myself to the ER and had a vaginal check up, HCG and ultrasound. It is sooo different doing this out side of my comfy DR office, which has been so great with me.

So from 11 pm until 4 am I was at the ER. My HCG came back at 95K - totally on track. Vaginal exam showed my cervis closed, thankfully - but still meant inconclusive. The u/s was going to be the missing puzzle piece. I got in at about 2 am - god bless that Tech. She told me straight up she could NOT share my results w/ me -- the DR would have to. But then she got into it and could not help sharing the good news. A strong heartbeat still at 146 bpm. I measured 8 weeks and 1 day -- could see arm buds and feet buds, spinal cord -- and the brain. She was in AWE of the brain activity -- said it was not common to see brain activity this early -- and it is an excellent sign. She said it had been months since she saw this - and it is always amazing.

Anyway - not sure what caused the bleeding, but it stopped pretty quickly -- I did use a panty liner and the blood took up about 3 quarter-sized spots. When it first came out - it was freash blood. They classified it as a subchorionic Hemmorage.

I am doing well today -- peace of mind is helping that things are still in tact, no blood since. I thought out I would share in case any one ends up seeing blood or knows someone that it happens to. It is scary - and not always good news -- but then again, not always bad news.

I am heading home tomorrow and getting another u/s on Friday to check in. Stay tuned....

Pretty much the same thing happened to me last Friday. My "spotting" has tappered off over the last few days. It is all brown (no red) and very very light. I go in tomorrow for my first appointment...hopefully things are still ok. I just posted my info to my journal if you want to read. I am glad things are ok with you...I guess pregnancy can be pretty scary at times.
