Monday Updates

Phin is 6.5 months now and such an amazing little guy. ^_^

Let's see...he has been doing great with his solids and now has had this time around peas, sweet potatoes and peaches so far. I make all of it myself and the veggies and fruits get mixed with a bit of oatmeal and a splash of prune juice. He has no problems with pooping this time!  Next week we are going to incorporate mango and winter squash into his diet. We got him one of those teether feeders..the mesh bag thingy. He loved it with a slice of frozen peach in it.

He has been a peek-a-boo junkie lately and loves to "hide" under his burp cloth and then pull it off his head and laugh maniacally at you. He also got a v-tech walker style toy and that is the bomb diggity to him.  He is getting so into his toys now and he loves to share them with whoever is near.

He and daddy took a walk to the park together and got to experience for the first time the rudeness of other parents. Chris was bringing Phin to the baby swing and a mother saw him heading that way, picked her toddler up and ran to the swing and put her kid in it and then smirked at Chris...what the hell man! Chris said the boy was definately old enough for the other swings but instead he had to wait with Phin who loves the swing. He also brought him down the slide a few times and he said that Phin adored it.

We are not even close to crawling but walking on the other hand is so close. He can stand and balance for at least a minute...on his own! Well the balancing is on his own he gets some help standing ^_^

AFM- Another 3 pounds down! I may soon fit into my pre prego pants! *hip hip hooray!*

Mady is just about 6 months, we have her check up on the 6th I think.  I would guess she is 18lbs already.  She is trying to crawl, but can move to wherever she wants by rolling.  She can pretty much sit up unassisted now.  She love to be on the ground though.  She is def. starting to get stranger anxiety though, my SIL came over today because I had open house and she freaked, because she doesnt see her very often.

As for food she eats rice and oatmeal, sweet pot, green beans, avacado, summer squash, pears and applesauce.  I am planning on starting carrots this week.  She loves to eat though, it is funny she say mmmmmm after every bite.  She is also still breastfeeding and loving it, we have no problems so we will keep going till one if it works!!!

I can't wait till 4 so I will be home to play with her, I hate working all day and not seeing her.  I just love that little pumpkin!

Noah is 6 1/2 Months!! He had his 6 month check up last thursday and is doing great he weighs 16 lbs and is 25 inches long!

He is doing great on his solids - we just introduced Applesauce and blackberries (together) and he loved it!! He is still eating the regular stuff - Cereal, Carrots, Sweet Potatoes, Green beans, Bananas, pears and apple sauce, he is a pretty good eater, He will hold his bottle for the most part (unless he is really tired) and reaches for it when he is hungry!

No crawling yet LOL but he loves to stand and can hold himself up all by himself - he just gets a kick out of being able to stand and look around! He will still roll all over the place and scoot but he has not got up on his hands and knees yet to crawl! I guess he figures scooting around works just fine for now lol

He is talking so much more now! The other day he saw his daddy in the mirror and said Da da it was too cute! He does not say ma ma but he does go mmmmmaaammmmmaaa lol  and he is starting to screech or squeel/scream LOL

Hi -
Hayden had her 6 mons appt - she is 15lbs and 10 oz. She says mamamama and has a tooth cutting in. She does only OK with eating solids - she usually ends up eating her bib. She is a mover though! Changing a diaper can result in a number of different ways - Hayden on her belly, half off the table, on the floor or diapers on backwards. very frustrating, but funny.

We got rid of her baby tub and she does wonderfully in just the plane tub. Such a fish. I'll post a photo.

She is my little LOVE!

She yelps ALL the time - usually to indicate she is delighted.

OVAZ - I just signed up for the AZ rock and roll marathon! It's Jan 17 - come on out!

Leighton is also 6.5 months.  In the past 2-3 weeks all of the below has happened...

1. Says "Mama"
2. Says "Baba"
3. Can pull herself up and stand holding the table and then moves sideways (of course, one of us is always there for any oopsies that could happen)
4. Can form herself into a "V" position, and then drops and crawls about 3 solid movements and collapses (its pretty funny... it's a workout trying to learn to crawl!)
5. Reaches out to hold her bottle for feedings and holds it until she is done

I am in awe of what has transpired just since her 6 month appt.!  She has really done some pretty cool things in just a few weeks... so exciting to watch.  How quickly things have progressed since 4 months.  I feel like between month 4 and 6 things really started to pick up.  I love watching and being part of every minute of it.

We just got back from 10 days in Maui with her and she started consistently doing many of those things during the trip.  John would get sooo excited and call for me any time she did something he hadn't seen her do before.  Love his Daddy reactions!  He is so animated :)

As for the trip that I was oooooh so nervous about... she did AMAZING!  She slept 4 of the 6 hours on the way there and when she was awake she was playing in her seat or playing with the passengers around us.  As for the wonderful red eye we took yesterday that got us into PHX this morning, same thing... she slept from the second we sat down until the captain came on telling us that he was getting prepared to land.  She was an angel... it felt good to have passengers reinterate what a pleasant baby she is :)

No new foods recently... although I am going to introduce mashed edamame this week since it has been a while since she has been introduced to anything new.  Will see how it goes!  Oh, she did get her first taste of Hawaiian Shaved Ice :)  Loved it! :)

Carter is so not into self feeding. I got one of the meshy things and put some watermelon in it...he loved it when i held it for him but refused to do it himself. the other day my neighbor helped him hold his tea cup and Carter immeaditly tipped it up (andgot the last drops of tea lol) so I gave him a sippy cup today...NoWay would he hold it and drink but if I held it he would. Same goes with his teething toys...he won't put them in his mouth himself but will chew on them if you hold them there....
meanwhile....everything else he gets his hands on immeaditly goes to his mouth, boy kids are funny!

Meanwhile, things with DH and I are not going so well. We have been though A LOT in the last few years. After our wedding my MIL accused me of trying to seperate 2 brothers because i didn't have BIL as best man beacuse I was jealous of thier relationship (I didn't choose the best man), it caused me to have a breakdown and become depressed. Then 2 years later we lost our first babe at 19 weeks due to Platu's syndrome and i had to go through the labour. Ended up having tons of complications. Renovated entire house (we moved out). Had my MIL tell me at my BIL's wedding that she did not consider me family. Had bad pregnancy, ended up in hospital over Christmas in another city for 6 weeks then 6 weeks of strict bedrest at home (put me into depression again). Had bad labour/delivery resulting in a fractured pelvis and am still having a lot of pain 6 months postpartum. Anyways if we could afford to be seperated I think I would leave in a heartbeat. I'm tired of a sexless marriage. DH never show affection. We don't have any friends in common (cause i can't stand his friends, most of them are alcoholics and if i wasn't on his case all the time he probably would be too..again more fighting) and we don't have any hobbies in common. I am broken :(

Blake is 6 and 1/2 months. She is amazing. :) She has given up on trying to crawl correctly because she discovered army crawling will get her where she wants to go! Oh well. Hopefully she picks up her tummy soon.

Blake eats her oatmeal with pears and prune juice in the morning and her veggies at lunch. I am about to add another veggie to night time. She LOVES solids. She loves her gerber puffs and those Baby Mum Mum rice snacks. She isn't really into juice though. I try to give her about 4 oz every few days to see if she wants any but she only drinks it if she is hungry so I try not to give it to her then. I am also about to start baby yogurt! I am having so much fun letting her try different foods. She is also off her Alimentum formula and on Nestle Good Start (green can). I think the probiotics in it are good because she poops a lot more and it is a lot softer.

Blake has a cold though. :( For about a week. I took her to the pediatrician last week to check it out and it is only a cold except there is a potential for her to get an ear infection. It is so sad to listen to her cough and sound congested.

The other day my husband was staring at little Mark and said, "He is so freaking sweet Whitney, it makes me want to make more!"

Mark is so strong willed- it kills me. I am not allowed to feed him now. If I try he will shut his mouth and shake his head until I give him the spoon. He also really enjoys eating those little gerber foods (wagon wheels, sweet potato puffs etc).

As I am typing Mark is army crawling across our family room to the wires coming out of our speakers. He is obsessed with everything he is not supposed to have- wires, pens, floss, keyboards, grass etc, and when we take them away he screams bloody murder. It is so funny.
