Monday Updates

Hi everyone!
Well for ht emost part things are going really well. Hayden has a routine that works about 90% of the time. Naps from 9am-11, and bath, bottle and bed by 7 pm. We are doing more 12 hour stretches, but she still might wake up once between 7 and 6:30. Feeding her solids is a bit of a challange . She screeches ALL THE TIME, says mamamamama and gets on all fours and does the back/forth jig. Sometimes she will be two "crawls" forward. She has one bottom tooth about half way in and I think she is teething again because she is ferosious  when putting things in her mouth to chomp on.

My one cross to bear is the constant spit up. I wonder if it will ever end. She is no longer on reflux meds, for awhile now - but I am thinking she may need to go back on. Then again - the meds never resolved the spitting up. I can kiss any nice outfit away - it is usually spat on. She does not eat as much  of her solids - but we work on it daily!

I ran a 5K this past weekend - felt great! My upper back still aches when i sleep but I am coping. I am also signed on for the AZ Rock and Roll half marathon in Jan. I figure it will keep me training instead of munching through the holidays. I have lost 55 lbs! Still have the muffin top.

Noah is 7 months today!!!! I just cant believe it....man how time has flown!!! Noah is doing great.... He is getting over ANOTHER small cold and MAN he hates when I use the bulb syringe, he screams bloody murder and squirms around its really hard to get a good suction lol - He is actually getting up on all fours and rocking!!! Its so cute, he has actually taken a step forward twice but falls on his face lol! I cant believe my little one is soooo close to crawling! He loves to stand and will do a little dance and wiggle and will take a couple steps forward with mommies help of course... He sits alone just great but has not started pulling himself up on things yet or sitting up by himself... he rolls ALL OVER and belly crawls and scoots to get where he wants! and now he gets up on all fours! His sleeping habits leave MUCH to be desired.... he was doing so good when we did the cry it out method but now he seems to have lapsed back in to the same old routine where he gets up like 3-4 times a night, I am going to have to start the cry it out method AGAIN! I am loosing tons of sleep and going nuts! UGH!

His eating habits are good too, same old stuff nothing new really unless my sister sneaks him something! She gave him a little taste of baked beans last night and MAN he loved it he was screeching!!

YES! Good job Jem!! And to all you mommies that are loosing all that weight! and sticking to it!!!

Mark is doing really great except for a small cold- he hates it when I use the bulb syringe! Lets see, he has been crawling, really crawling for about a week and a half now. He does really well except for when he pulls up to stand and loses his balance and falls. He cries like the world is going to end.

Mark takes a short nap in the morning, one in the after noon and a very long one at night before bed time. It is  nice as I am a clean freak and am able to get lots of scrubbing done while he naps and my eldest is in school.

I am about 5 lbs smaller than my pre pregnancy weight. I has been great looking into my closet and thinking about what I want to wear- instead of what might fit that day ;).

Mady is 6  months now, we have a dc appt next Monday.  She is getting so big I can't even belive it.  I would guess 18lbs.  Schedulewise I think we are about 75%  She is with my sister or mother in law during the day so I am not positive how well she sticks to it.  BUt from what I hear she does pretty well.  We have had a bed time of 7:30 for awhile, but her naps seem to be changing around.  Although we have had a rough few weeks, my aunt passed and my mom was diagnosed with cancer and she is staying in WI, so we have been gone every weekend and she has been sleeping in bed with us and like to nurse all night then, so I am working to go back to her STTN again..  I miss my sleep and need it now!!!!
She loves to eat solids, I havent tried one thing she has yet to like.  Although during nursing now she is soooo nosey she always pulls off to look around the room, so she gets shot in the face all the time.  She is trying her darndest to crawl right now as we speak, but not there yet she gets up now butr cant seem to get the moving thing.
I am still aorund 8 lbs away from my weight, but I have almost given up on it.  I cant seem to get back to normal, my stomach is where its at i dont think i will ever wear a bikini again, oh well shes worth it!!!!!!  I probably ne4ed to stop eating like I am preggo though too.

Ovaz - you should totally run the half marathon with me - I was smart and committed to only half instead of the whole 26 miles! We can make "March Mommas" tee shirts to represent ;-)

BTW - I realize after i post I should prob proof read - so many mispellings! Wish this thing had auto spell check.

Yay for you Jem!!!  I would love to do the Marathon up in Phx with you... I looked at the route.  Let's just say, I might only do the Scottsdale part! haha  A little shopping and a glass of wine along the way won't hurt, right?  Anyway... we will see.

We are also on routine 90% of the time :)  Some days it's like "I have to get errands done my love, so no nap for you!"  Usually she will sleep for a bit in the car or in her stroller while I run around, but it is never as long as she would sleep if we were at home.  She has switched her sleep schedule once again, but this time it is a wonderful schedule for me too!  She now naps from 10-11am and then from 2-4pm.  Before she was taking 3, 30-45 minute naps which made it very hard to get anything done.  So, I like her new routine :)

She tried green beans for the first time yesterday and it was not a hit.  I haven't seen the face she made when she swallowed them in a while, so I found it really funny.

As far as crawling, we still only move forward 2 or 3 times before she collapses.  She finds moving backwards much easier :)

We bought a high chair last week, and I have no idea why, but I found it tramautizing!  haha... I was sooooo sad when we put her in it for the first time.  It was like Oprah's "Ah ha" moment except it was my "Oh no" moment.  She is growing so fast it makes me sorta sad :(  I still feel like she should be a floppy little newborn.

That's about it for us.  To date, I have lost 36 of my 40 lbs.  I am having a really tough time progressing past my current weight.  I have a thyroid disorder and had it checked last week.  My doctor called to tell me that my dose was WAY too low so that could definitely be the reason why I just can't make any more weight loss progress no matter what I do!  So, hopefully in the next few weeks here, that will help.  My dose was upped to what I was on when I was pregnant with Leighton.  So, of course I freaked out becasue I thought "Holy c-rap!  Am I pregnant again?!"  Took a test and it was negative.  Probably the only time in my life I was sorta hoping it was going to be negative :)  Want more, just not now!

Good job Jem! I need some of your motivation. I have been very lax on my weight loss. I need to sign up for things like you have been doing so I can motivate myself.

Blake is very fussy lately. I think she is teething her top teeth and she has a cold (again!) and I think her new formula she is on makes her tummy hurt with gas. She is always tooting..haha...it is funny because we go places and she lets one rip but then sometimes it really hurts her belly. Mylicon is constantly being given to her.

Blake "crawls" her army crawl all over the house. She has gotten FAST with it too. I wonder when she will crawl regular though. She goes to her Little Gym and she LOVES it. She is the little star of the class too :) I am so proud.

Not a whole lot more to report...she eats a ton of food but lately her appetite has waned a bit.( I think more evidence she is teething).
