Monday Updates

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARCH MOMMAS! It is March 1 already!
Hayden is doing great. Recovering from drama last week - RE: post about our ER visit. She is starting to run now which is cute and can hold up number 1 when I ask how old she will be!

I still feed her purees, as well as finger foods but she is just not interested in switching to full finger foods. She fusses a lot about the food! And does not like whole milk. I am work on that!

Oh, she just woke up from a 2.5 hour a.m. nap - need to get her! More later....

When I nixed Leighotn's afternoon bottle, she wouldn't drink much (maybe a sip or two... and that was it!) from her sippy.  But, by the 3rd day or so she figured out that I wasn't giving her a bottle so that was what she HAD to drink from.  If you are worried that he won't get a full balanced meal for those days, don't.  I know it sounds bad, but if they don't get the "ideal" amount of food one day, it really won't hurt them.  In fact, I don't even think Leighton missed her bottle.  She didn't fuss or anything.  Make it up in other areas, such as give him more fruit or carrots at snack time, etc.  But, I promise... he won't go hungry :)  Good luck... I think I lucked out with Leighton on the bottle transition ;)

Not to much new with Carter other then he is pooing better!!!!!!!!!!! Not sure if it is the formula change or pec(medicine) So i'm not sure about introducing (reintroducing) cow;s milk, or if i should use soy. And i don't really know how to stop the bottles, he gets one in the am (which he gets up betwen 5- 5:30 so we are keeping that botle for sure) then he gets one after morning and afternoon nap and of course before bed (1/2 hr before) He will drink out of a sippy cup, but he doesn't drink much and he can't do it himself. But the other day between breakfast and lunch he only managed 2 oz from the cup, so how can i stop the bottles? I've tried lots of different cups and just bought one with a soft straw but i don't see any difference in how much he drinks from any of them.

I am just getting over a bad cold and started a new job yesterday.....at a call center :( 6 weeks of training (nights 4pm-12:30am) and then I start my shifts which are mon, tues, wed 6:30pm-10:30pm and Sat 9am-5:30 and Sun 10:30-4:30pm...which means i have to give up everyweekend with my husband BUT we don't have to get a babysitter (besides some sat which will be my parents) Its only temporary though, hoping to go to school in sept but that will only happen if the government agrees to pay the tution, living expenses and childcare

Whitney-I spent yesterday walking in the past, DH did too. Throughout the day one of us would announce last years happenings such as "It is 10:20 am and last year your water just broke at this time" and "Hey in about 4 minutes last year I heard you tell me that you could see his head"

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARCH BABIES! What an amazing joy- to get to experience this with all of you as your sweet little ones celebrate their first birthdays.

Amy- Oh No! Poor Blake! Mark had croup a few months ago, and I remember being terrified as I thought he might stop breathing in his sleep!  I hope she gets better soon!

Ovaz- WAY TO GO LEIGHTON! What a nice pre- birthday surprise!

Mark's first birthday party is this Saturday, but he turns 1 on the 9th, Lately I find myself thinking about his birth, my pregnancy and how happy I was... and am.

Blake has croup!! It is very sad. Hopefully she can kick it before her birthday Saturday. She has the worst cough and cold symptoms. She will cough so hard that she gags and then she will yell after she coughs. I think she does that because the cough hurts her...very pathetic I know. :(

Anyways, besides being sick, she decided to stand for like 3 whole minutes. She is too scared to walk yet. I really think she could do it though. She practically walks by herself when Josh and I "help" her. It was funny though today, watching her teeter there unsure what to do. :) I figure it is just a matter of time!!

Blake loves to immitate too! Today she took her thermometer and would take her temperature. She is so smart like that. She will go up to the remote and point it at the tv or pick up the phone and put it to her ear and say "hi" or "Huh". This is all relatively new though. She use to think remotes were phones and I refused to applaude her for being wrong on that! haha I didn't want her to be at Mothers Day Out and they be like "What is wrong with this girl, she thinks remotes are phones!" :)

Anyways, I can NOT believe we all have one year old babies already! We have been a little community for almost 2 years!! Happy Birthday March babies!

Hey ladies....

Happy Birthday to all the kiddies!!!

Not much new on this end. Jack is still as energetic as ever. For the first time ever (which was actually starting to worry me) Jack started immitating me. I would clap and then he would start to clap. I was getting worried he couldn't immitate. He has clapped before but not like this. I am working on getting him to point instead of whine when we wants something...especially food. Still working on party planning. we are holding it a week from Saturday. Very excited. I hope everything turns out well.

Hope everyone has a good week! Looking forward to seeing more birthday pics.

Happy Birthday Babies.

Nothing new here, just planning Mady's party.  We are planning on holding off until the 2nd week of April, b/c daddy may be away at a class.  But maybe we can get good weather!!!!!!!!

Enjoy your week and your birthdays.  I wanna see photos soo I can use all the ideas that worked well for you.  I knew having the last baby would pay off sometime.  Even though a year ago I was soooooo jealous of those of you who where giving birth now. Hehe

I seriously can't believe these little angels are all turning 1 this month!  Exciting but nastalgic at the same time... anywhoo...

Congrats to Phin :)  John's family arrives tomorrow and my cousins arrive on Saturday(the day of her party).  I am getting a little nervous to have all these people here, but am getting excited to see Leighton get excited!

LEIGHTON STARTED WALKING TODAY!!!  Today was my due date last year... so I guess it is somewhat symbolic and I was always remember the date that she walked ;)  I was changing her outfit on the floor and she got into her squating position and just pushed up and started walking... it took my breath away and  I didn't want to get too excited and have her notice that she was walking and fall down.  Anyway, a cool momentous day for us over here :)

Phin is 1 year old today! We had his party yesterday and he loved it. That little boy made out with the presents...We have to seriously find places for everything. His cake turned out awesome and I promise to post pics this week. He was so tidy with his cake and then he figured out it was food. He is a funny boy.

Other than the party last week was just all prep for the party. My dad flew in and my best friend drove up, they stayed here and got plenty of baby lovins'. I am super busy with school, and the only time I get any homework (or anything really) done is when Phin is sleeping. Needless to say I have to utilize lists to the maximum to keep myself on track. The crockpot has been used alot the past few weeks just to ensure we get one hot meal a day.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY March babies!
