Babies head??

Hi ladies.... I noticed Toes had the same question in her post on Monday updates as I have right now! I took Noah to the Dr Yesterday BC he is REALLY congested!! It wasnt his normal dr but she was really nice BUT she said that his head still looks FLAT! And asked if he is getting enough Tummy Time! He gets PLENTY of tummy time and hardly ever is on his back... he gets held alot or is in his bumbo so I didnt think his head is constantly pressed in the back.... He is a pretty fussy baby so is held alot and isnt just left lying down, so I dont know what more I can do to have his head not be so flat other than have him sleep on his side at night (which dr says not to) but I do occasionally bc we have the little bumper thingy that keeps him in place! I didnt get a chance to talk to her about it bc we were there for his congestion and she didnt seem to concerned (and I have his 4 month check up 07/07! So I am definitely going to ask then!!!) But I was wondering if maybe some babies heads just take longer to shape or is this something I should be concerned about?? Any one else have this concern??

Carter's head i pretty flat. I know he doesn't get enought tummy time (he HATES it) but i hold him A LOT and when he sleeps he always has his head turned. I am going to try more tummy time becuase it is starting to bother me

My first son, Micah's, head was really flat when he was a baby. I used to be super worried about it, but now that he is four it has rounded out quite a bit. Plus he has loads of hair to cover it. His head looks a lot like is bio dad's so I think the shape is mainly genetic. If your babe is definitely getting enough tummy time then I wouldn't be worried, it is probably supposed to be shaped that way. ;)

Leighton's head is "flat" but I have a flatter head in the back and her appearance leans more towards how I look, so I think her's is genetics.  That makes me sound like I have this weird head or something!  haha...

I am not worried about it.  If she was approaching 1 years old and it was truly flat at the back, then I would be concerned.  But, our little babies are only 4 months and some aren't even 4 months yet, so there is LOTS of changes yet to be seen.  Once they start crawling and being more independent I think that we will see their heads return to the pleasant rounded effect :)  But, for now... I am not worried.
