Drop in Fetal Heart rate

So another post in the Maternal forum prompted me to ask this question. I am 25 and 1/2 weeks pregnant, and yesterday I visited my doctor. Since the beginning of my pregnancy my little baby's heartbeat has decreased. In the beginning it was around 160, then in the 150's now it is about 147. My question is- is this normal? My doctor didn't seem to be alarmed. Then again, I didn't ask her about it specifically.

120 - 160 is the normal range of the heartbeats of an unborn baby!  So definately no worries!

It is normal. Just in the way that smaller critters have fast heartbeats and bigger animals have slower ones. No worries momma!
