Leighton hit the 5 month market yesterday. She is still really tiny... it surprises people when I tell her that she was 8lbs. 1oz. when she was born because now she is just this little pea :)
She is a wonderful eater... carrots are with out a doubt her absolute favorite thing out of 4 foods she gets (carrots, squash, avocado, and banana). Great napper and a great night time sleeper. We didn't start being a great napper or night time sleeper, but by golly we are there now!! haha
She went to the beach for the 1st time last week. Little Poppy beach in Newport Beach was her 1st beach experience. She loved mushing the sand between her toes but would cry everytime a wave came crashing in! It was pretty funny.
No sitting for this kid yet... no tripod. She can sit propped up on the couch or on my lap, but she hasn't mastered the tripod yet. We are working on it ;) Secretly, I don't want her to do this because it means that she will be crawling soon after that... and I want her to be my little babes forever! haha
Oh wow! Poor Carter!! :( Try avocados...aren't those suppose to full of good fiber or something??
Carter is such a happy little boy, I am so lucky. He still is getting up once through the night. the Dr took him off oatmeal cereal, plus i ave to cut back amount of rice cereal (i only give him 2tbsp twice a day) and start him on pears and peaches. he also gets some prune juice everyday. He is having major problems in the "diaper" department, he just screams when he has a bowel movement, it is so hard to watch, the dr examined him and said he is very inflammed and having spasms, we have some cortizone cream that had antibioditics in it plus a numbing agent that i have to put in him, he is to much pain for supository, we will see a pediatrician on wednesday (here we only see a ped if there is a problem)
Mady is doing well also. She is 4 months now!!! We have her check up on Wed. I am excited to see how much she has grown, not looking forward to those dreaded shots. She is rolling from her tummy to back and trying her hardest to go from back to tummy just hasn't mastered it yet. She does sit but not for very long. She sleeps amazingly, 3 naps a day and all night long!!!! We started cereal last week and she LOVES it. We will prob start veggies next week, I am planning to make my own so I need to hit the farmers market for some fresh home grown veggies.
I am also doing well, 8 lbs from prepreggo weight. I am planning to buy that Wii active I have heard amazing things about it. I amvery sadly preparing for school to start in 2 weeks. I don't want to leave my little pumpkin. Boo.
Noah is doing good.... he is still waking up during the night! So i am going to try and just let him cry it out.... We will see how that goes :-(
Other than the change in his sleeping habits he is doing good.... he can sit pretty good but will lean over to one side just like phin lol which ever way he is staring at something and will just slide right over.... but he does love to be sitting up and looking at everything.... he will roll ONLY when he wants too and I honestly think he would be rolling more if he didnt have his hands in his mouth 24-7 LOL his arms and hands block him from fully rolling bc he WONT take them out! He loves his solids..... I think his favorite has to be sweet potatoes... i will definitely try some avacodo this week! He is starting to notice things alot more. Like he used to just look around and be nosey but now when somone one talks he will look up at you and just flap his arms and get excited even though your not talking to him LOL He has always been very alert and nosey but it just seems to have gone up a notch the last week or two! He will be 5 months! In a couple days ! our little ones are getting soooo big!!
Phin is so close to sitting but he does need a bit of side help every now and then. He tends to lean the direction in which he is looking and next thing you know he is sliding right over.
He hates apples! We are going to keep trying them though.
Really not a lot of excitement this week. Phin spent Saturday afternoon with his aunt while Chris and I took his mom to the movies. I handled it much better than I thought! LOL.
Phin still gets up once a night for a nursing between 2-4 and he is up for the day between 5-6. I love finally having someone up with me in the morning! I am very much a morning person and pretty much have all my housework done by 9-10 o'clock. Then we play and sleep and play some more.
I weighed him on the Wii Fit and he is 16.3 pounds! As far as my weight, I lost another 2 pounds last week...so I am getting there ^_^
Blake is doing great! She loves to sit too. I can prop her up against almost anything and she can balance herself and sit very well. She just now does the tripod thing some of you guys were talking about! She can do that for a few minutes and then she kinda falls over! :)
She is talking and screaming up a storm! It is great!! She got to play with her cousin (who is 6 weeks younger) and this was the first time that she truly understood that her cousin was a baby like her I think. She looked at Ella and then would scream this shrill and incredibly happy scream and try to grab her. You had to be there...it was precious!!!
Blake LOVES avocado. She loves solids in general but she is crazy for her avocado! She got attitude with me yesterday because I wasn't feeding her fast enough. :)
Blake has TWO teeth..it is insane. I can't believe my little baby has two teeth already!! It is soo sad...I can't keep her a baby forever and I am starting to realize that!!!
She still sleeps great (8:30-8:00) with a couple naps a day.
