Monday Updates - June 7

Hi Mommas -
Just returned from a 4 day trip to Fla. Hayden was a complete waterbug. Ran full-fledged into the ocean without any fear. Did great on flights - too. Yeah! My traveling w/ her is paying off. This was our fifth trip on a plane and she slept. Traveling w/ her is so easy now - no bottles or crazy baby schwag to have to pack - just the essentials.

No luck for me getting preggers. We have tried - but nada. We'll keep at it! I am not discouraged yet.

Hayden starts soccer next week - LOL. I wanted something outdoors where she can run & yell. You have to be 18 months, but the guy gave me a hall pass. She is sturdy on her feet and knows how to "kick" the ball. On the hunt for some Samba sneakers!

Oh, one weird thing is she is also the sudden crying when I put her in her crib. Huh. And the "mama" has been nonstop this week. Maybe a phase?

Ovaz - hayden is not hitting per say, but she is def getting into tantrum zone. I give it absolutely no attention in hopes it will just go away. She does get excited around dogs though and is a little rough, so I take her hands and gently rub them against my cheeks and repeat "gentle" -- now when I say "gentle" she pats my cheeks lightly. That might help!

My husband and I just got back from Cali for a week... we left Leighton home with my parents.  I have to say, we missed her waaaay too much and probably won't be doing that again soon!  haha...

Nothing crazy new... she feeds herself with a fork, she has added a siren noise to her list of growing imitations, she enjoys throwing and kicking balls, is a huge water lover (literally gets screaming mad if we take her out of the pool), and has been into hitting when she gets mad.

The hitting thing.  This is a real problem.  Whenever she is upset with us (if we take away something she shouldn't have, etc) she will hit us... usually on the face or head.  We then tell her "no" and explain to her why that isn't OK, which only leads to crying from embarrassment.  Anyone else having these little outbursts?

AFM: John wants to now wait until Jan. to begin TTC.  I am really bumming out becasue I was looking forward to TTC in late Aug. to early Sept.  I have some serious convincing to do.  Like "Honey, I don't want to be HUGE next summer when it is 110 degrees out side."  I guess he doesn't understand because it isn't his body who is making the little one :/  Grrrrr....

Phin still has just the 4 teeth...and about a gallon of drool per second. He had his 15 month check up and gained 1/2 pound, 1 1/2 inches taller and 1/2 centimeter of head growth. Percentiles for weight, height and head are 25%, 50% and 60%...so thin and tall with a big ole round head! ^_^

He is simply the funniest kid I have ever seen. He loves to play tug of war but like a dog, and you have to use your teeth or he will shove the toy right into your mouth. We play hide n seek around corners and that gets him giggling so hard that he just falls over into a pile of boneless toddler.

He is now self feeding with a fork...it is so nerve wracking to watch, somehow gravity bends to the will of toddlers I think (unless they are walking on the couch like their momma told them not to do, and the fall off and cry for a 1/2 hour only to get up and do it again)

AFM- 15w2d along and had a few days of wonderfulness but have fallen back into nausea and morning sickness with a vengeance. I definitely have a belly though and have to dig out comfier clothes. It is starting to get uncomfortable to sleep and my hips and pelvic region are acting up much sooner this time around...owie.

Mady is talking up a storm.  She now has learned nono and says it all the time.  It is too funny.  I am home all day now so we have been out and about everyday.  She loves the water, she dunks herself in the pool and then laughs about it.  I can't belive it.  We have 8 teeth too but the dc said the molars cutting threw though.

We have a big 71/2 hour trip up to Cornicopia WI this weekend.  I am praying for a happy baby in the car.  Fingers crossed.  When we get back we are taking a mom and tot class, I think itll be good for her.

Enjoy your wek ladies!!!

Mark still only has 8 teeth! I keep thinking he is going to cut his molars, but no luck yet. Last week my husband left his cereal on the table to use the bathroom. When he returned Mark had crawled on top and was feeding himself with a spoon. It was super cute. I am posting the video on my facebook this afternoon if anyone wants to see.
I am truly amazed by how much he is learning on a daily basis. He is so smart and engaging! What a fun age!

Jem- Good luck on TTC next month! I am glad that Hayden had a great time in FL.

Carter blew a kiss to the kitty today, it was so cute :) He's doing better with his sippy so i will probably be cutting 2 of his bottles he's still getting but keep the early am one. 2 more molor are starting to come but he takes forever teething. I think he may begetting an ear ache or maybe its from the teeth but we go to the Dr tomorrow to get needle #2 of his 1 year ones. My Dr split them up for us:) Next big task is to push back his morning nap, he dropped his afternoon one so i need to get his am one later in the day, i have till he  is 18 months old and starts daycare when i go back to school.

Jack is doing good. We go in for his 15 month appointment this wek. Lookig forward to seeing how things check out with him. He is becoming quite the comedian lately. he figured out how to give me and DH raspberries on our toummies, arms, legs. He thinks he is the funniest thing and does this constantly. I would say it is annoying because it never stops but the look on his face after he gives one is hilarious. He always seems to be looking around to see if anyone is watching him. Too funny. He too loves the water. We went to the pool for the first time this season. He was so sad to leave. Can't wait till we can get to the beach. I think the other day I got a bu-bye out of him but nothing else on a consistent basis.

AFM - I am 5.5 weeks along. No real symptoms except peeing all the time and really thirsty. I feel like I am showing already...probably just all the water I am drinking. My 1st appointent is July 1 so I am looking forward to seeing how things are going in there. I hate this part. It is almost worse than the 2ww. :/

Hope everyone has a good week.
