heart burn / sore throat?????

ok im undecided and confused on what to think . for the last 2 weeks i have had really bad pain in my throat . it is sore and it swells up. it kills me to drink or at times even talk . but it is only happening in the evening hours and over night. wel for the most part i put it off cause i thought it was cause of the severe heartburn i was having . bad acid issues at night . and when i mentioned it to a dr they didnt look at it or anything just suggested that it had something to do with the acid issues i was having. well for the last 3 nights i have had no heartburn or acid relfux at night. but im still having the swollen throat and soreness at night . what can it be do i need to go get it looked at while it is swollen so they can see , or is it pregnancy related..no other  problems at all.. i have 2 weeks then i have my lil man . so im not sure what to do ... i know that it is painful and really starting to bother me every night.,,, someone tell me what you think i should do .???  i know that strep would be a constient thing and just not in the evening hours and overnight right???? i just dont want this to affect the baby in any way... help.. thank you all

Ok...I am glad you asked this because I have been having the same thing. I just assumed it was allergy related because the weather here has been crazy...hot and then cold...so that makes all the allergens go berserk and what not. I also read in my "What to Expect" book that women in the 9th month experience congestion...which can affect the throat. It hurts really badly...like strep. I just don't know myself. It is weird that we would both be experiencing something like this...maybe it is a pregnancy thing. I am going to ask my dr though next time I see her. I agree that it is important to get taken care of before your baby gets here. What if you give him something when you kiss on him? I say get it checked so if you need to get on antibiotics you can hurry up and get on and off them before he is born.

That is what I am going to do.
