Hi Ladies,
Jack is not on any medication but I am beginning to wonder if he too has acid reflux. Can you guys give a little run down of what you told the doctor about your little one's symptoms when they were diagnosed? Right now Jack is really fussy for about 1 - 1.5 hrs after each feeding (except the night one) During this fussy period I bounce him and still try to burp him even thought I got a burp right after his feeding. Many of these burps come with a thick milk-like spit up. The reason I think he might have acid reflux is also during these fussy times he arches his back, stiffens his body and screams like he is in really bad pain. He'll display many of these characteristics while we are holding him upright. He schreeks even worse if he is on his back. Once the burp and/or spit-up happenes he is generally fine (for a while).
Does this sound familiar to anyone else?
We might have to put Blake on it. She will projectile spit up sometimes, it is so bad. Let me know if it works!
Brock is on Zantac for the reflux. I have no clue if it works or not. He also has cereal in his bottle, and we switched to soy. He still has super fussy times, even after feeding, diaper, napping...I am starting to think baby #1 is my high maintenance baby, so #2 better be easy going! Good luck...hope it works for Hayden! We also have a blanket under his crib mattress, about a 30 degree angle, for help with the reflux.
