still sick

So hayden has the worst cough/cold for a week now. No fever (that only lasted the first 3 days) - but she sounds like a 90 year old smoker, hacking. Yesterday a.m. she woke up with hives all over her chest and back and around her v. area so I took her back to the DR. She is now off immoxicillan  and we need to get her on the baby z pack. I am happier about that bc the immox is 2 doses a day of 4mL, for TEN days - and you can not skip a dose b/c it builds up a resistance. Baby zpack is only 3 days and one does a day. I tell you - cold season is the PITS! They also gave her an inhaler to break up the RSV brochiliaititis.

When we were at the DRs yesterday - the DR said "ok ready to check your ears" and she COVERED HER EARS. LOL. Then she let go and after the DR checked she said "ok all done!" and so Hayden CLAPPED and SMILED. We were laughing. It was like she understood. So now we keep asking "where are your ears".

Despite the cold, she still has her personality and boisterous voice. It is 7am and she is happily SCREAMING at seasame street while daddy is still sleeping.

Sorry H is still not feeling well. When Jack got his head cold back on October he was coughing and dripping nose goo for 4 weeks. I think I wore out the nose aspirator. ;)

Hope she feels better soon but it sounds that she has a great little personality even when she is sick.

Awww poor Kiddo's!! Im glad both your little ones are starting to feel better! Cold season does suck and poor Noah seems to get congested/little colds ALOT - Its hard seeing your little one so miserable!

Awww... yeah Leighton just finished her last dose of her Z-Pac yesterday.  Although, our doctor had us do one large dose the first day and then 1/2 of the first days dose for an additional 4 days.  Despite antibiotics, her nose is still a little runny :(  But atleast she can breathe and her sinus infection is gone!  And, her cough is gone as well.  That was not fun at all :(  Cute story about her ears.  Don't you wish you had a video camera following these little babies to catch every moment?

thanks kele - i think she is on the mend. but the zpack really made her super hyper tonight....we dubbed her 'hyper diaper'...
