Cramping at 15 weeks

Has anyone else experienced cramping in their lower abdominal areas. Feels like period cramps but sometimes feels like a sharper pain. I am not sure if I should be concerned. I also have alot of discharge, all clear, nothing that even looks like blood but Im paranoid that I will look and it will be blood. Am I over reacting?? I called my doc and they made an apt. for me this Thurs. They NEVER do this which kinda makes me panic a little more. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. :)

cramping, pulling and sharp pains are all normal. its caused from your ligaments stretching and your uterus growing. you may sometimes feel pain in your stomach and/or chest area cause from pressure due to your other organs being pushed up to make space as your uterus grows. however, if your cramping is accompanied by bleeding or lost of amniotic fluid dont hestiate to see your doctor right away!

the dicharge is  very normal. its caused from the estrogen your body is producing and greater blood flow to the genital area. its usually clear or milk and odorless. however if this discharge does have a odor or makes you itch, it can be an infection like yeast infection. the discharge may increase as you get futher along and should only require a panty liner if neccessary. a good thing to remember too is sometimes women have a hard time distinguishing amniotic fluid from vaginal discharge as they get further along. if you notice you are soaking a pad or more in a few hours, you may be leaking fluid and should see your doc right away as this could mean pre-term labour!

hope this info helps!

Cramping at this stage is totally normal, its just caused by the stretching of ligaments as TJames364 said.  I too have a lot of discharge and have been told its completely normal, some women just have more than others.  I recommend wearing a liner if there is a lot of discharge.

Hi,

I get a dull pain in my lower abdomen sometimes.  It could be your uterus stretching or the ligaments stretching as well.  The Dr just probably wants you to come in to give you peace of mind and make sure things are ok.  They will most likely do an ultrasound and some other tests perhaps.  I wouldn't worry too much.

I've read that some discharge is normal.  As long as it's not foul smelling or yellow or green in color.

Good luch tomorrow!
