HELP

I'm completely confused and concerned. About 9:30 last night I began to bleed a lot of bright red blood. We went straight to the ER. I was sure that I was losing the baby. Ultrasound showed a healthy 10 weeks 3 day old baby with a 160bpm. ER doc said that the baby looks great. No explanation for the excessive bleeding. This morning no blood at all. Like it never happened. I'm still a bit unsettled and not sure if this means I will eventually miscarry. They put me on bed rest for the next few days. Has anyone ever experiance this or know someone who has and their baby was fine?

My friend had bleeding and cramps a few times and the doctor thought she had lost the baby, more than once, but baby is fine she is not 23 weeks.

I had some pretty serious bleeding at 6.5 weeks...we were sure I was miscarrying. I even passed a couple of small clots. But the u/s showed a healthy heartbeat and everything was fine. I had an u/s right when the bleeding started and then again one week later - at the first one, they saw some "questionable heterogeneity" around the placenta - basically blot clots. When I had the second one, it was gone, so my doctor assumes that was what I bled out. So, apparently, there is such a thing as benign bleeding. It's possible that you have blot clot yourself (it has a fancier name - something like a subchorionic hematoma). These often reabsorbed by your body or you get rid of them - they don't usually cause a problem although your doctor should monitor it closely. It would probably be worth asking...

But in the meantime, yes, I had bleeding and everything was ok :)
