mucus plug

lost mucus plug last night 37 weeks today. Been having BH regular yesterday and all last week, stops after 12 hours but they were every 4 mins. Was kept in hospital last week overnight and already had steroid injections for her lungs at 34 weeks as cervix was thinner than it should have been but didnt say what %.Just wondered if anyone had any advice or similar really.
BH stopped for today but wondered if labour would start due to loss of mucus plug last night, it was brown I assume thats old blood.
Thanks

Ah how lovely to be having twins, best of luck. No the Dr and midwife have both said that once I get to 37 weeks they are not as concerned as classed as full term from them. I had my son at 34 weeks and he was fine without the steroid injections. Still no contractions, not even BH now its all gone quiet after the mucous plug came away.  Heres hoping calm before the storm as I am getting impatient for labour to start. You've not got long now, 5 weeks ?

I have a shortened cervix & was hospitalized at 25 weeks, given steroids & released on strict bedrest. I'm still on strict bedrest til this Thursday. I'll be 34 weeks. Are your docs concerned about your baby at 37 weeks? I'm just curious because I'm having twins & being released at 34 weeks. My c section is scheduled for 38 weeks. I would think if you lost your mucous plug, you'll probably go into labor in a few days :) If you're concerned about your cervix, stsy off your feet in order to take pressure off of it. Stay hydrated, as dehydration can cause contractions & empty your bladder often. A full bladder can also cause contractions. You should be just fine! Best wishes :)
