Losing weight

Does anyone have any good suggestions on how to get through the morning sickness? I am 13 weeks and still sick all of the time. I have lost 36lbs since finding out I was pregnant 2 months ago, because I just cant keep anything down. I have been feeling very light headed all the time, and it is making it hard to work because I have to constantly run to he bathroom. I am game for trying anything anyone suggests. My doctor gave me some anti nausea meds but they don't seem to help. I am worried that I have lost too much weight. I never had it this bad with my son!

Am so glad you are feeling better now and beginning to be able to eat again.  My doctors would probably stick me in the hospital if I'd lost that much weight, they get upset if I haven't gained (Don't know why as I am very far from underweight, LOL!).  Glad your baby is ok and growing normally.  THe next few months you'll be able to hopefully get things back to normal.  Just focus on eating really nutritious food and drinking plenty of fluids without worrying too much about the weight gain, loss, or otherwise.

I am having morning sickness but not so bad I can't eat.... though it does make eating unpleasant.  Have also been having this really unpleasant taste in my mouth that makes all food taste bad.   Has been getting progressively worse since 8 weeks, and I've lost a kg in the past week, but nothing anyone would comment over.  Am just over 11 weeks now.  12 weeks scan next week and hoping and praying all is fine.  I will see my obe after the scan.

I have lost 40lbs now, but it seems to be slowing down. The doctors where I live I swear are clueless. They always say something at the beginning of my appointment but never make a big deal about it. I have been able to start eating a little more now which is good. I'm hoping that It will just slow down more and more. My last ultrasound last week shows that the baby is fine and growing normally. At least that is a good thing! Thanks for the posts they are all so helpful!

How are you doing now?  Your doctor should be concerned by this much loss.
Hope you are feeling better now.

Another suggestion is to check your vitamin D levels.  My sister had low vitamin D and found that a D3 supplement really helped with the morning sickness.

Hope you can feel better soon!

I am currently taking Zolfran. It takes the edge off but doesn't make it better. I can keep down water, it just seems like anything else is too much. I have mentioned the weight loss, and they make comments every time I go in about it, they just haven't done anything about it. The vitamin b6 hasn't seemed to help, but it could be because I seem to throw it up. I am just hoping that it won't be much longer of this. Thanks for the suggestions.

I take reglan. It's the only thing that helps me. Tell your doc about the weight loss too. That's pretty severe.

I am taking meds for it. Might want to ask the doc if u can't keep down fluids u should do something. If anything u could try benadryl or regular Dramamine. But ask the doc first.

Have you tried taking Vitamin B6?  My midwife recommended this but I didn't have morning sickness nearly as bad as you.  Tried to stay hydrated, you may be lightheaded because you're not getting enough fluids.  :(
