Gestational diabetes

I don't know about everyone else but my doctor has you do a glucose 2 hour test at 10 weeks. So my fasting blood sugar was hightl by 1 point. Now I have to check 4  times a day. Every time I wake up my blood sugar is over 95 and it needs to be under. They are talking about insulin and I don't want to go on that. Is there anything I can do to get it down? I think I am stressing myself out which is not healthy either. Any comments?

ive had the same problem i had gd 2 out of 7 pregnancies and since i was already on metformin they are acting as if i have it now and my fasting # are giving me the trouble and you are right i was on insulin with #4 and it made me feel afwel but the dieabetes nurse told me to have a snack before bed so when you wake up your fasting # should be under 100 then . im giving it a try ! Good luck !!
