Starting contractions?

I am almost 38 weeks pregnant, due March 29 but so far I am measuring ahead. I am 60% effaced and I'm 3-4cm dilated. Can anyone give me any ideas to help naturally induce labor or to get contractions started? I've been walking, my husband and I have been having sex, I even tired the milk and orange juice thing... Anything else? My belly feels so tight just no steady contractions. My doctor believes I'll be in within a week but I have no pain and very irregular contractions. They said my cervix is thinned and baby is in position... Just wanted to know if there's anything else I can do or if voicing on a birth ball really works...

I ate spicy food tonight, took a warm bath, are some pineapple, so far nothing... It's 4:40am where I live now and I woke up to dull period like cramps but that's it. Oh well I will keep trying!

Pumping 10 minutes each breast, walking up hill while stomping feet, bounce on birthing ball while moving hips front to back, get a massage, FRESH pineapple on an empty stomach, red raspberry leaf tea, evening primrose oil 2000mg/day orally and vaginally, warm bath with Epsom salt for at least 12 minutes, sex! I'm also due the 29th :) 25% effaced, 1cm dilated and baby is in -2 position. Wishing I was as dilated and effaced as you!  Tired of being pregnant. Want my baby to be here already! Good luck hun, keep us posted and let us know if anything works :)))

I will keep you updated if I find anything that works. I heard spicy foods can help but not sure about it, I'll try it though...

Following, due the 29th also! 2 cm and 70% effaced with strong but irregular contractions throughout the day every day. I've tried pineapples and walking so far. Tonight I'm eating spicy food and taking a nice bath to try and get things going. I've also heard squats and walking up and down stairs helps but haven't done those yet. My hubby thinks I'm ridiculous for wanting to help things progress.

I'm in the same boat as you. I'm 37 weeks, measuring 40 weeks and doctor says baby can come anytime now but nothing seems to kick labor into gear. If you haven't tried yet, maybe nipple stimulation will help you. Hopefully we get our babies out soon!
