When I saw my midwife at 12 weeks she never mmentioned a card to get prescriptions free? I've had one set of antibiotics & they never asked to see a card.. Tried to get a prescription today as I have thrush & they wouldn't let me get it as I didn't have this card.. I've now filled out a maternity form for free prescriptions but that can take weeks & I currently have no money to pay for the prescription what can I do in the mean time to try it or at least try get rid of thrush?

Is this exemption card in U.K.?
I don't believe we have that in the States.
Here, I would recommend seeing your family physician as they usually have samples of medicines. I've had to do that when uninsured before (but not when pregnant).

Yeah when I went to go get my prescription I mentioned I was pregnant & she said about an exemption card but I never got told about one.. So now I'm left with the prescription & no money till payday when I had a look a few things for thrush they were £12+ think I'll ring my midwife in the morning & see if she can sort it out as I'm quite irritated.. It was the hospital who picked up on it in the first place & just sent me a letter saying what I had
