heartburn, can hardly sleep, help!

I'm in week 35 and I'm having very nasty heartburn night and day. Eating very little and non-greasy foods, but it won't stop and I need some relief. Milk won't help for very long and I read chamomille may be harmful during pregnancy. Any suggestions? I has an antacid and helped for an hour then the relief was gone...desperate!

I use tropical flavored Tums(equate brand). They work better than the berry flavor for me. However, whenever I have to get up in the middle of the night I have to chew a couple mute before I can go back to sleep

I take tums. I've also heard of a papaya extract that is suppose to help a lot. I think it's extract. It's sold at Trader Joes and other health stores.

Zantac extra strength or have your doctor prescribe maalox. Works wonders for me! Also, don't use milk it is very acidic and makes heartburn worse in the long run.
