Something that I have noticed is anything that will make your stools really loose like tons of fresh pineapple, castor oil, and whatever else is said to make you go into labor basically give you bad diarrhea and that is more the thing that helps speed the process along. I think it has more to do with the cramping and internal movement than it actually does the thing you eat or drink.

I think I'll give that a try lol. Even if it doesn't work it's an excuse to buy more fruit. And I'm ready for my boy to be born already. I want to avoid being medically induced.

I was eating canned pineapples at 26 weeks and was having bad contractions, I stopped eating them and the contractions stopped. I'm now 35 wks 5 days and haven't had pineapples since. I'll be eating them again soon, though. It may work for some, if it works for me I'll be happy as I'm in serious pain.

Ive read that it has to be fresh pineapple. One of my friends who is due one the 7th (im due on the 9th) did this two nights ago and she said she lost her mucus plug yesterday. We arent sure if pineapple was the reason. Im gonna try it tonight.

I've been craving pineapples a lot this pregnancy and eaten them quite a bit. I love them! I'm now 36 weeks and the other night I ate a whole bowl of them and then had the worst stomach cramps and diarrhea all night. Lol. I'm not eating any more!

I've seen on a lot of posts on here that you have to eat like 3 whole pineapples to do anything and it doesn't always do anything but give you tummy issues

None of this stuff is backed by hard science in terms of food etc.  The biggest "labor inducer" that has any remote scientific proof is sex (prostaglandins).
