1st trimester

I'm only 5 weeks but will be 6 weeks tomorrow. I just had my first doctors appointment to confirm the pregnancy and everything seems all good to go. BUT the doctor did tell me that every 1 of 2 pregnancies end in misscariage during the 1st trimester. Understandably so I'm a little worried that something will happen to the baby. I'm assuming it's normal but I just wanted to know if anyone else is having the same concern

I've heard 1 in 4 not 50%! The percentage goes down each week and significantly after 12 weeks. Unfortunately there is always a small risk of miscarriage throughout pregnancy.

The statistics are actually 1 in 4 women will suffer a miscarriage.

I lost a child last year, not in the first trimester. Trust me when I tell you worry gets you nowhere. Trust your body and breathe. Stress is not good for you and your little bean. Think positive and take care of yourself.

1 of 2 is a very scary ratio!!! This is my first pregnancy and I am scared of the same thing. I am doing my best to just think positive and avoid potential risk factors :) I'm about 8 weeks and have my first OB appointment on 8/3. Good luck to you and hope you have a healthy pregnancy!
