Mucinex?

I am 30 weeks pregnant, would it be safe to use maximum strength mucinex fast max severe congestion &cough? I called my doctor while I was in the store looking &the nurse said mucinex is fine to take but then I read online it's very dangerous &I have already taken 2 doses :/ so worried right now just wondering if anyone else knows for sure.

If you have saline nose spray, that may work.

I was told the regular type was fine. Beyond that, I'm not sure...that was with a sinus infection while on antibiotics as well.
