Need some encouragement please!!

Went yesterday for my next Drs appointment. They scheduled an ultrasound last time for yesterday to check on position and fluid levels and they also did the group b strep test. Found out yesterday that I have an anterior placenta which is no big deal but also found out that she is still in the breach position. :( fluid levels were not low but they weren't high enough for the possibility for them to turn her. Dr said he doesn't think she will turn at all so they scheduled me a c section for March 18th :( very dissapointed. This is not the way I wanted this to go. So it looks like my little girl will be here a week before her due date.

Thank you. I didn't look at it that way. I'm getting over it day by day and it doesn't seem as bad anymore. I would much rather have a c section than for anything bad to happen while trying to deliver vaginally. Good luck today and congrats :) and thank you for helping me

I get it...my water broke and I went in expecting completely natural as well. By the time I was done, I experienced pitocin due to a stalled labor, epidural due to my body not relaxing between contractions,  and a c section after pushing for 7 hours and not getting my daughter past a plus 1. While not in the plan, it's always wise to keep the focus on a healthy you and a healthy baby...that way the dissapointment isn't as bad. It's hard I know and there is such a bad stigma for some reason for c sections, but we still give birth. In some women's eyes you'll be a hero for doing whatever you had to do (even a c section ) to give your baby the best birth possible.

Thank you everyone I guess my problem is I wasn't expecting it and it wasnt my plan to have a c section. I wanted to go naturally. I know it's not the end of world and atleast I can look forward to knowing when she is going to be here without the anticipation of waiting and waiting and not knowing when. I will eventually get over it I'm just very disappointed right now

I agree with a csection not being the end of the world. A scheduled csection is much easier to recover from than labor and then a csection when you are already exhausted.

If you do have a c section,  I promise it's not the end of the world. I go in Monday for mine. It some ways it's more relaxing to start off the process.  Yes there are limitations afterwards as you heal, but it sounds like you'd be able to try a vback with the next one. I don't have that option and finally became ok with that. Let me know if you have any questions as this will be my 2nd c section.

Look up ways to get her turned,  maybe get a yoga ball.  There are exercises that you can do to help but not saying they will help but you never know. Try I hope she turns for you. If not she will be here and that's the best part.
