tummy time

Ok so DH and i read that you are supposed to have your baby on their tummy for atleast 5 minutes a day, so we have been laying Kyra on the floor on her tummy several times a day .  She has a very strong neck and has been holding her head up herself for a couple weeks now so there is no problem there.  My problem is that yesterday she started whenever we put her on her tummy she rolls right over to her back.  So I am not sure how to handle this.  Do i put pillows around her and keep her blocked so that she can't roll over or do we just keep putting her on her tummy and let her roll over thenjust roll her back?  Also is it normal for her to be rolling over at 5 weeks?  She is changing so quickly!!

i put Daniel on his tummy on the center of my bed while i am pumping OR in his portacrib bassinet and he rolls over... caught it on tape the other day... he will be 3 weeks old tomorrow and has been lifting his head way up high since he was in the hospital... but then again he IS almost 9 lbs...lol wonder if that has anything to do with it... his umbilical cord stump STILL hasnt fallen off.. ugh!!!! so tired of giving this baby sponge baths cause they really dont help much just makes him mad... and the smell of baby poop lingers even after cleaning him really good... hopefully it will fall off soon.

sorry for going off topic...lol... the joys of motherhood.

Addy slept on her tummy there for a week or 2, but here lately she has been doing better on her side, funny how this little they have such preference. I still can't believe these girls are rolling! Addy is a slacker! LOL I think right now she is too chubby to roll! I never thought I would be saying that! HAHA Too fast Too fast! :(

I am very happy with how strong she is, but my hubby got really sad when she did it and said she is just growing up too fast!!  It was pretty cute. She hasn't done it since that day, but she has pretty much gone to sleep instantly when we put her on her tummy.  I could sit and watch her all day as she tries new things b/c it just makes my heart happy to know she is mine!!  Sorry had to get a bit mushy there...

OH my goodness! I can't believe she is rolling over already! Addy is 2 months, and just now trying. She has also been very strong and has perfect control over her neck looking around and holding it up, but no rolling. Once we watched her for a bit as she tried, it was just amusing for us, she didn't succeed, but she ended up having her one arm and leg cocked up real funny. LOL A strong little girlie Kyra is!!!
