I cant imagine weening. Brielle would lose it!! haha she loves her boobie milk.
She just started cereal so we're seeing how that goes, her pediatrician told me her main food source should still be breast milk until she is 1 ( or formula)
it seems like we all get different answers, I wonder why that is, I guess there are 3 countrys right, canada, usa and uk?

claire- brielles dr said she can have meat right away in small quanities and really mashed up.  fish a year in case of allergies.he told me to not over think the food thing, which i guess makes sense. he said to jsut try 1 new thing at at time incase she gets an allergy. He also said rice cereal can be constiapting so if i found she sint pooping as much swtich to oatmeal.

Do you guys think its better to start on veggies 1st or fruit 1st?

Addy has been taking baby food for a few months now, we started around 3 months, I know early but she had been on cereal since a few weeks ( Dr. orders) anyways she got to where she was still hungry. Once we started her on veggies she slept alot better and was over all more content. She now has it with every bottle. Her favorite is her veggies, even over her fruit.

My only suggestion would be to try one thing a week at a time to make sure there is no allergies, we did veggies first and went through the list, than we moved on to fruit. We found no allergies but we did find the foods that constipated her, or made her gassy. It was easier to pin [point that way!

I'm glad to see how well all of our babies are doing! Addy is 6 months now and my heart is breaking for the time that has already come and gone, but there is too much to look forward to to get down about it!

I started Kyra on cereal and veggies about three weeks ago, but she still prefers to BF more than anything.  Which is completely fine with me as long as she is eating and growing!!  How long are the supposed to be on veggies before introducing fruit??  As far as meat i think my Dr. said around 7-8 months, but i am not positive on that.  Fish though you are supposed to wait a year i think b/c of allergy issues.

Well I started introducing food at 4 months and now she has about 2.5 jars per day... she loves her food, she is so greedy.  Even with the food she still breastfeeds just as much and wakes constantly in the night for a feed, there is no filling her!!  How are you anyway?
