About baby Update*

Okay its almost May ladies, and we have lost track of this forum.  So I want to do an update.  Its all about baby just like beforre but adding anything new in.. Ill go ahead and start

Okay My name is Ammanda, I am 20 years old, Engaged to Drew for a year now.  I am now 33 weeks and 4 days.  Due may 7th!  This is my first baby.  And its is a lil boy!! His name is Cole Patrick!  I had my last ultra sound at 30 weeks and he was so precious and he looks just like his daddy.  At my 32 week check up my uterus wasnt exaclt measuring what it should, I should have been 32 cm but I was only 28 cm.  So If i dont catch up by 36 weeks Im going to be getting induced, because he is running out of room.  I have my 34 week check up tomorrow and I hope things are progressing along.  I had my baby shower 2 weeks ago and that went so well.  I got alot of stuff.. We have everything we need, and the nursery is all set up, now were just waiting for him to come.  I cant wait!  I love him so much already, there really isnt a minute that goes by that he doesnt have his foot or hand poking out my side, and I love that feeling it makes me tear up sometimes.  Only 6 weeks to go for me!!!

I look forward to hearing all about whats been going on with all the other May babies!!  Hope everything is well.. Its almost here!

According to this it's different -
During pregnancy, your cervical opening becomes blocked with a thick plug of mucus that prevents bacteria from entering the uterus. When your cervix begins to loosen, this mucous plug is dislodged. Some women notice the passage of the mucous plug (what exactly is that in the toilet?), others don't (especially if you're the flush-and-rush type). Unfortunately, the discharge of the mucous plug is in no way a reliable indicator of when labor might begin. It could be hours, days, or even weeks before real contractions begin.

A somewhat more reliable indicator of impending labor is the passage of the bloody show — a stringy mucous discharge tinged with pink or brown blood. Such "bleeding" means the blood vessels in the cervix are rupturing as it dilates and effaces.  Once you've watched the bloody show, labor is probably just a day or two away — though don't try to set your watch (or your labor stopwatch) to it, since it's not a definite timetable. But do make sure your bag is packed.

Well mine was slimy with a hint of brown - so is that the bloody show or the mucus plug?  I'm confused : )

I am losing it little by little so far.  I am excited, but starting to get a little nervous.  The little one has been pretty quite in there since yesterday afternoon.  He is still moving around, but he hasn't been moving at his normal peak times.  I've heard this is a sign they are resting up for labor.  My sister said when she lost her plug, she went into labor that day.  I think she is confusing the mucus plug with the blood show, because they are different right?  I have had no contractions or cramps today.  My lower back is a little sore, but nothing unsual.  Other than feeling very tired, because I only got three hours of sleep last night, I feel like I normal have.
