Has anyone scheduled a doctor's appointment? When?

I have went in had my blood drawn to confirm pregnancy - but other than that, my first appointment is October 1, and that will just be a prenatal registration where they get family history and do blood work.  I won't see the OB or Midwife until the following visit.   How about everyone else?   Also, I am nosey and want to know if this is your first pregnancy or not!   Just so we know how many experienced mama's and anxious first timers we have here!  Thanks!

BTW - this is my second pregnancy - I have a healthy baby boy named Landen, who is 9 months old.

I'm technically due April 29, but I'm so close to May that I figured I'd hang around here some too :-)  I'm 7 weeks 3 days today. Had my first ultrasound last wednesday at 6 weeks 6 days. The baby was measuring a little small (6 weeks 2 days) but my Re said he wasn't worried about that as the HB looked great at 121.  I have another u/s scheduled for the 22nd so they can decide whether or not to "discharge me" from the fertility clinic, and then a third the week after with a high risk OB.  Man I'm going to be spoiled with all of the u/s!!  By the way, this is my first pregnancy!

Dur~ Congrats sweetie! Let us know how your Beta's are going!

Girlblink~ What a complete and utter a** the on call was...uggg! Seems like patients know more than these idiot DR's.  I hope you get your U/S all set up.  Glad you pushed for the blood work.. GAWWWDDDD...that pisses me off so much hearing how some DR's treat patients.  Ufff.

I had my confirmation appt. last night. Unfortunately, my dr. is on maternity leave and her replacement is not starting for another couple weeks. So I ended up seeing an on call dr. in the clinic. He was not cool at all. He did the urine test, and I had to ask for bloodwork to be done. He grudgingly agreed and then I had to fight with him over having it repeated to make sure the levels were going up. He refused to give me a requisition for an u/s even though I have had an ectopic, which would put me at a higher risk of a repeat.
Finally, the nurse took pity on me as I was leaving. She told me to call my ob on Monday and see if I could get an appt. with them without a referral...and if that fails, she said to call her and she will call the ob and say the dr. referred me so I can get in and hopefully get an u/s done soon.

I'm new here!  This is my 2nd pregnancy - the first ended in m/c at about 6 wks was about 2 years ago.  Currently I am 4 weeks 1 day.  I go back for my 2nd beta on Monday and then my 3rd beta on Wednesday.  I'm super excited but dh and I have decided not to tell anyone but our parents until after the 1st tri.  My due date is May 22, 2010, 1 day before our 6 year anniversary.

Wishing everyone a happy and healthy 9 months!!

I am high risk (age plus previous medical issues) so once my pregnancy was confirmed, I made an appt immediately  for a 4 wk ultrasound (rule out ectopic) and then one a 7.5 weeks. They said "you will see the midwife" and I demanded my DR for all visits...hell, I am not taking chances.

If you are at a risky age or previous health/prego issues, call and demand attention, blood tests, sono's, appt's, whatever (and no later than 8 weeks...10 weeks is bs unless you are 19 years old)

You wont get what you do not ask for.

I am "brand new" pregnant with my second pregnancy - I am 3 wks 6 days.  I have a 10 month old baby girl.  I have been soooo blessed since my first IVF gave me baby #1 and my first FET has now given me baby #2 on the way!  So, my dr is 2 for 2!  Anyways, my beta levels seem to be good, too good maybe, since dr has mentioned twins.  Obviously, blessed with whatever I get :)

Congratulations to you all.... May we all have successful pregnancies :)

That is funny that your 6 year old complains about you laying certain ways!

My morning sickness was never severe with pregnancy #1 - so I hope this one stays the same.  I dont know if this applies to you - but I did notice that when I was more nauseated it was when I was hungry - so if nibbled on crackers and stuff throughout the day - even if I wasn't hungry- so I wouldn't be hungry.  It helped to make it so I wasn't so sick.

I hope that Helps - but probably not in your case since you are already so sick.

i am 5 weeks 5 days, havent scheduled my appointment yet, going in to confirm today and then taking care of that. I AM SICK!!!!!!!!!!!! I never knew it would be like this i guess because i have 2 daughters ages 6 and 4, and no nausea with either. i thought people were just exaggerating, thats what i get! but i cannot get any relief, except for when im asleep or today i just discovered sucking on a lemon with salt is some temporary relief. im just miserable. does anyone have any suggestions? i need to be eating but i really cant even smell or look at food without turning green. :(
other than that, dh and i are super exited. our babies are overjoyed too, taylar (our 6 yr old) asks me every 15 minutes if she can do anything for me, and gripes at me for laying in certain ways she thinks will hurt the baby.

This is my 6th pregnancy and I have 3 beautiful children. A 13 year old daughter, 12 year old son and a 1 year old son. We had a m/c in early 2007 and an ectopic in June 2007. We are hoping this one sticks :)

I'm due May 12th, 2010(5w1d today)...and I have not been to the dr. yet. I'm going to call today to get the bloodwork and first u/s set up. I'm hoping to get in to see my ob sooner rather than later this time in case there are any issues.

Hi. I have went in and confirmed that I was pregnant last week. My first appt is on 9/22. I cannot wait. Counting down the time and really trying not to worry about anything. I had a miscarriage 2 years ago. It was a chemical pregnancy. So, I just cannot wait to see that heartbeat. I am 5 weeks and 1 day. I have 2 wonderful and adorable sons.  A nine year old and a 2 year old.  I  have not started to have any morning sickness yet. My nipples are a little tender and of course LOTS OF MOODINESS!!! I usually don't get nauseated until about 6 weeks. I am enjoying the time of no sickness and kinda wanting it to come because then I will feal pregnant. CRAZY HUH, LOL. ANYways I am so looking forward to talking to everyone in the may group. I love feedback and hearing about what everyone else is fealing. I am due May 12th, but I have c sections so probably have about 2 weeks early.
