Pinpointing conception/GA

I had a period that lasted one day in July, slightly heavy, but unsure of exact date.
I had unprotected sex August 2nd, but seriously only for one minute before I changed my mind and made him stop.
Starting August 3rd, I started having unprotected sex with my boyfriend almost every day, and with him finishing inside.
I bled somewhere around the 5th-8th, 1-1/2 days, very heavy and bright red.
Mid-August I experienced excruciating pain on my left side similar to cramping.
By the end of the month/beginning of September, I was experiencing nausea, sore breasts, and trouble sleeping.
I took a pregnancy test September 9th, and it was positive.
I had an ultrasound September 11th, dating me a 5w2d, and another one September 18th, dating me at 6w2d. They gave me a due date of May 12th.
I then had another ultrasound at 18w, but they said I looked 19w, and changed my due date to May 8th [meaning my LMP would've been August 1st].
I'm wondering if I could have conceived August 2nd, my doctor told me to stop worrying, that she thinks I'm in the clear, but it's very hard to stop stressing out when I know I was not bleeding on August 1st. She said that I most likely conceived around the 14th-17th.
I kind of think that if I did conceive around the 2nd, that I'd be somewhat further along, and I heard doctors aren't usually wrong by more than 1-5 days...
And I don't know if the bleeding around August 5th was my period, it was so short!
Advice, please!

And to clarify, I never had the math wrong. They deemed my daughter "full term" based on 4/12 as my LMP (aka: Day 1). That means, that I was assumed to have ovulated/concieved on 4/26 (aka: Day 14). In reality, I ovulated/concieved on 5/13 (aka: Day 32), more than a month after the start of my LMP.

I should also point out that my ex-husband & I only had sex ONE time that was unprotected. That was our first time together, 5/13 & he pulled out.

Sadly, doctors & specialist do get it wrong sometimes. With my 1st child I was told that I conceived about 14 days after a forced period. Previously, I had miscarried in February (unplanned pregnancy) & by April I still had no signs of Aunt Flow. So, the doctor gave me progesterone to force my period on 4/12 & then told me to start the birth control after 7 days. Well, the "period" came, but it was so painful I felt like I was miscarrying again. I made another OB appointment a few days later and he said I was not pregnant (basic pee test). I didn't trust him & made another appt with another OB a week later. In the end, I was not pregnant (sonogram confirmed), but was too late to start the pill so I was told to start with my next cycle. Well, by June 13th I still had no cycle, but I had sore breast so it was back to the 2nd OB for another sonogram after an HPT came out positive.

At this point, I had started dating someone new in May & had dumped the other guy in April. Well, EVERY SINGLE sonogram I ever had said I got pregnant on 4/26. That was the last day I had slept with the old boyfriend & had not slept with the new one til 5/13 so the evidence seemed clear. I ended up marrying the then current boyfriend who promised to love me & care for my daughter as his own since the old one didn't want her without me. She took my husband's last name & was every bit a Daddy's Girl. Nice story right?

Well, 5 years later I was getting divorced & my husband asked for a DNA test to get out of paying Child Support. (I was shocked to say the least). Imagine the confusion when the 1st test with the old bf (why not just pay for one test & have it legally recorded that he was her dad, right?) came back negative & we had to re-test with my then-husband who's test came back positive (had to pay for that 1st test myself, but the ex had to pay for the 2nd one).

There was never any doubt regarding her paternity for all those years save that nagging voice inside me that said she looked like my husband & she was only 5 lbs 13ozs after having been born "full term". The doctors & nurses said she was small because I was small & I just figured I saw in her what I wanted to see. Afterall, all four individuals involved are white, with light colored eyes, sandy brown hair, & we all happen to have A blood types (they are all negative & I am positive).

I got lucky in that my daughter's bio-father didn't walk away in the beginning. I can tell you whole heartedly, matter-of-factly, & without a single doubt in my mind that if he had walked away, I would never have seen him again & we'd never have known the truth.

So to you I say: Invest in a DNA test if you want peace-of-mind. I know that it ate me alive for 5 years thinking that my daughter might someday come home with her 1/2 brother as a new boyfriend or that she might hate me when we told her at 18 that her dad was not really her "dad". I'm so very sorry for what happened that has lead to this situation, but at least you tried to do the right thing & that counts for alot.

I hope it all works out for you. :-)

I agree with msteri. I am due May 7th one day before you, and I conceived between the 9 and 15th.  Dont worry yourself...

You didn't conceive on the 2nd if your due date is May 8. I have the same due date and I was still having my period on August 2. Also I got a positive OPK on August 17, so I definitely conceived well beyond August 2. You are safe like your doctor said.
