I am so so sorry for your loss, I hope you are doing ok. My first pregnancy ended in miscarriage, and I was so unbelievably upset. But then I went on to have a healthy baby girl, and am currently pregnant with my second. I realised that things happen for a reason. I was 10 weeks along when my baby died and I found out at 13 weeks. I realised that it was better that it go, then spend a life where it could be in pain, there was obviously something not right, so it was better that way.

You can start trying as soon as you feel ready, you don't need to wait if you don't want to, especially since it was a natural miscarriage. You will be ok, trust me, if I was you will be too. I thought I would never get over it, but it happens quicker than you think. Just cry and be upset as much as you need to be, and each day gets easier and easier. The pain goes away, I can guarantee it.

The daughter that I got after the miscarriage is so beautiful and I love her so much that I wouldn't trade her for the world. My miscarriage lead me to her, and you will have the same. I am really sorry for what happened to you, good luck for the future, everything will be ok for you.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I miscarried an etopic pregnancy in early February of 1999 just before Valentine's Day & my birthday. I was about ten weeks along at the time. I was heart broken, but happy that I miscarried because I thought the pains from my fallopian tubes were just really bad cramps. My OB said losing the baby saved my life because if I hadn't come in when I did, the tube would have burst and I may have died before I ever made it to the hospital. So, God had a plan to save me even though my baby wasn't able to be saved.

The great news is that I concieved again on 5/13/99 & delivered a beautiful baby girl on 1/14/00. Looking back, I would never trade a child I lost & never knew for the one I got to keep. I could never had kept both since they were so close together. Knowing that God meant for me to have my daughter instead & kept me alive & healthy enough to be a mommy to her & her brother makes me feel blessed.

Yes; it takes time to recover from the loss that you have suffered. Knowing that there is a greater plan out there for you is a a great starting point for your healing process. Again, I am sorry to hear about what happened, but good luck to you in ttc again in the future.

Hello,
I have something to put your mind at ease - I blighted ovum should not contain a yolk sac. A blighted ovum rarely contains anything - it is just a sac. How far along did you think you were before the ultrasound? Many fetal poles can be seen around the 6 - 6.5 week mark, however it can be quite normal not to see one until 7-8 weeks. Maybe it is just a day or two early. Everything is fine, congrats on your pregnancy, looking forward to hearing about your next scan.

This is common so early on. I went through this with our last preg, and now understand why the docs in my new home town want nothing to do wit a preg lady until weeks 12. I would not worry. If you read around all the other forums, you will see that you are not alone and having scans so early can do this. You will be relieved next scan when everything is fine and you see the little heartbeat. Good luck and try to remain calm for you and for baby. :)
