It's a sex question.

This is very personal and please do not read it if you are going say "Don't post that here" or any negativity. I am in my third trimester of my first pregnancy. I know my sex drive has decreases A LOT during this pregnancy. On occasion (very rarely) I get the urge to want to make love, but then my partner doesn't or if he is in the mood, I feel like putting up a brick wall
:( Lately I have noticed that I am getting the urge a couple times a week (before it was like once or twice a month, if that). I am unsure of what to do to make it special, what's safe and what's not safe to do during pregnancy. I know this question is a very touchy topic, but I feel bad because it has put an awkwardness between me and my fiance. We have only made love 3 times this entire pregnancy. Any advice or anything would help. Thanks!!

Thank you both for your suggestions. A nice romantic evening might be good to set the mood for both of us then we can see where it goes from there.

I know the feeling.  I'm not feeling all that sexy lately, more like a house.  ny DH thought he would get me to laugh by saying he could barely get his arms around me anymore. I started crying, he was like I was kidding.  then trying to tell me how beautiful I was.   anyways, try to have a rmoantic evening together just the 2 of you.

You have nothing to be embarrassed about! :) I'm sorry things have been awkward in the intimacy department, but with hormones all over the map during pregnancy, I know you are far from alone.  There's lots to do that's safe for you two to do in the bedroom.  Any position you want except flat on your tummy, obviously, and flat on your back.  You can be on your back if you prop yourself up a bit with some pillows.  I've found that being in a spooning position or doggy are the most comfortable for me in my third tri.  Oral sex is perfectly safe!  So that could help spice up your foreplay.  You can also use water based lubricants and vibrators or other toys, provided any penetration isn't too deep (against your cervix).

Maybe you could plan a romantic evening for him...make him his favorite dinner or dessert and give him a little goodie bag of bedroom fun youve picked out for the two of you to play with? Or leave him a sexy note saying how much you've missed being with him and how you can't wait for him to get home! :)

I know romance is tricky when you don't feel like yourself, but you're in the home stretch now! Good luck! And congratulations you two! :)
