Most people don't buy off the registry try just buy whatever they think is cute and that they can afford. Instead of buying one set of bottles for $15.00 they rather buy 3 jumpers for the baby :)) a month is plenty of time and the people u care for the most and care about u the most will show up! Have fun xoxo
Yea! You get to wash all of the adorable little baby clothes! What are you having again?
I'm selfishly hoping I don't get clothes from my friends because I don't know the gender and green, yellow and beige won't be worn by my baby. Ha ha. That's so mean, I need to simply be grateful that my friends are coming to celebrate this baby with me.
They did ask for an RSVP but I haven't heard either way from either of them. I know most people expect it on Sunday here but my mom decided to have it on a Saturday. it actually worked out better for my MIL since she had a shift on the sunday. I just hope people don't think it's sunday and forget about it. it means that Sunday though I'm in laundry mode! i'm going to have to wash everything we get... better stock up on the laundry soap.
Did they require an RSVP? Not that that always does the trick. My BFF sent the invites out exactly a month early and asked for an RSVP a week before the shower. I'm having a small shower but four people never bothered to RSVP accepts or regrets. People just don't do that anymore. Makes it tougher for the hostess to plan...
My mom and my mother in law are hosting the shower together. I'm just stressing out that I'm going to have no one show up! They keep telling me we didn't send out the invitations early enough but they send them like a month in advanced so I think that is lots of time. We shall see though.
I know the feeling but try to relax... We received lots of presents not on the registry, and many who shopped off the registry picked up a present the day before, or on the way to the shower. I also had a friend buy a few items but forgot to have them mark them on the registry.
Two other things that helped with the big items are (1) we received a bunch of giftcards that added up to the large items for us and (2) we got a discount after the shower to buy anything left.
My shower is on Saturday and my best friend is throwing it. I don't have a registry...just didn't do it. We also don't know the gender. So I have no expectations, but I have heard this is a common thing. I think most people just buy outfits or they have ideas of what they think is cute.
I hope you have an enjoyable time at least. Who is throwing it?
