What are our little ones doing?

Im just so excited that my bubs is only 2wks yet hes already making cooing/happy noises. Hes rolling onto his right and left sides - but favors his right by far. And hes making attempts to hold his bottle. He'll put his lil fists up near the nipple as if trying to hold it himself. Hes also showing good neck contol trying to hold his head upon his own at random periods for a minute or two at a time.

What things have your bubs been doing that gets you excited?

I started tummy time when she was a week old. I only do it for a couple minutes twice a day. I always lay on the floor with her and have her on her play mat so if she does put her head down hard I either get my hand under her forehead or the mat is soft enough she doesn't hurt herself.

My little one is 5 weeks old but was born 4 weeks early. She has outgrown her tiny baby clothes and into a newborn now :) and she is a size of a newborn too around 8 pounds.
Ladies you already do tummy time? Don't they hit their head? I haven't put her on her tummy yet....well only on top of me.

The 0-3 month clothes are fitting him almost too good. Im thinking he'll be in 3-6 month clothes by the time I go back to work.

Her newborn diapers and clothes are getting small too. I hardly bought any newborn size diapers because I remember my boys out growing them super fast. Its funny though because the 0-3 month clothes are still huge on her.

Growing! She had her two week check up and she's gained 1lb 1oz in 11 days since leaving the hospital and in 2 weeks has grown 1 1/4inches.  She has really good head control and lifts it up during tummy time. She rolls from back to side and once rolled off her stomach. She tracks us as we move around and is starting to coo and kinda growl which is really funny.

I know how you feel. I starved my first bub. Well not starved cause he's 21 months now. Lol but he didn't put on weight that's why I had to give him formula. I felt so crappy for weeks. But like I said in the other group on your post. You gotta do what's best for bub and if that means formula then so be it. :) ill write my favorite poem up. It's long but bloody good. :)

@melza - it didnt :-( Even with help from a lactation consultant just couldnt get him to latch whether using the nipple shield or not. I even stopped using lanolin thinking that might have been the problem but still no go. The WIC dietitian had me try Fenugreek but like the next day I wasnt even able to pump any milk anymore. So Ive given up and am feeding him formula. I felt terrible about it but hubby helped and then my Mom told me how the same thing happened to her. She just didnt produce enough. Then my sister pointed out that I breastfed longer than she could because she never produced anything like I had thought she did.

My bubs 4 weeks today. He has just given me 2 nights in a row of sleeping 5 hours. He started rolling from front to back when he's naked at 6 days old and he still does it every time. I.thought it was a fluke till he just kept doing it. He doesn't really make cooing noises. It's more like grunts. And he's such a noisy drinker. When he's on the boob you cam hear him gulp every mouthful. Real little boy. How do you go with bottle and boob Bri? I want to start expressing so hubby can feed sometimes but worried about nipple confusion issues pike my last bub had? He got so lazy once I started giving bottle and didn't want me anymore.
