baby stuff and baby shopping???

So I am 15wks 1day and this is my second baby. I am thrilled let me just say but I have a question for you moms with multiple children. is it ok to have a baby shower? I know traditionally no but my situation is this; I divorced my sons dad and he got rid of all my sons things from when he was a baby (he's three BTW). this baby is also number one for daddy. So I think I should be able to have another shower but I feel guilty about it. Any thoughts?
As far as shopping I'm just wondering if anyone started yet? I'm waiting another couple weeks when I find out if its a boy or girl. I like shopping for clothes the toys I leave up to family lol. So if you have started shopping what is the first item you bought your baby??

I think its fine to have another shower.  Its a celebration for a new baby.  You're going to need more things even if the gender is the same as the first.  I went to a shower for a friend's second baby last year and they made it into a backyard cookout.  Very different than the traditional baby shower they had for the first kid.  Most people gave gifts - mostly new clothes and diapers.  I say, go for it!  Who doesn't want to celebrate a new life!

I'm 13 weeks will be 14 weeks Monday and depending on when I c my Dr ill find out between 16-18 weeks so idk yet lol

mine is not either, but we only hear from him once every few months so its no biggy, my husband is gonna try to adopt her. that would  be funny u get a girl and i get a boy this time haha

Tarrah we have so much in common with our stories I'm gonna laugh if I find out I'm having a girl lol. And yes I to am with an amazing man this time. Don't ya wish sometimes that would cancel out your ex and they went away. Mine isn't a very nice person at all.

i have not started shopping yet except looking around for crib because thats something we want to pick out together. as for the baby shower i think its ok to have another baby shower, i also have a 3 year old and im no longer with her father and married to an amazing man and this is his first child also because of that we are having a baby shower for this one, especially if its a boy since we have a girl now i still have some of her stuff but gave most of it to my 2 step sisters for there lil girls.
