I'm 36 wks 0 days today w/ my 1st pregnancy. I thought my cervix started thinning 3 days ago. I had my exam today & I'm abt 1 1/2 cm dilated & 50% effaced. I know some women can b dilated for weeks but I'm not sure abt the thinning of the cervix. If my cervix keeps thinning will my water break/ will I go into labor? It's been my experience w/ others that they dilated 1st then thinned out. Any opinions?
I guess everyone is different. impossible to predict especially the 1st time around! hoping things continue to progress so I don't have to b induced! if for dinner reason I do not continue to dilate I will b happy if my cervix at least things out completely so if I have to b induced they can at least induce w/ pitocin vs cytotec
I've been at 2cm & 50% effaced for a few weeks now, just got checked again today. Everyone is different, I'm 36 wks 5 days.
