And if so have u drank? I was just wondering cuz I've been wanting to drink but I'm breastfeeding so I was wondering exactly how it worked if I had a beer If I would have to pump nd dump... also I used to smoke hookah before the baby I was wondering if anyone else does nd if u know how long would I have to wait before breastfeeding again cuz I don't want it to be in his system

What I've read from LLL and the Mayo clinic says for a women about 130 if you have one beer or drink that it takes 2-3 hours to metabolize out of your system and when it metabolizes out of your system it is no longer in your milk. They used to say pump and dump but now they say its not necessary but you could if its going to be longer so it doesn't hurt your production. They do sell test strips to check for alcohol in your breast milk. I've seen them at Target by the breastfeeding supplies.

If you have a drink straight after feeding and you have about 4 hours till you feed again you should be ok. (From what I've read.) Can't help with the other stuff but. :)
